## Pricing

from $2.40 / 1,000 domain checkeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Website Tech Stack, Ad Pixels & DNS Detector by Domain

**Give it company websites, get one short row per company:** which ad pixels and analytics run on the site, the marketing tools, CMS or e-commerce platform, hosting, and what the domain's DNS says about email (provider, sending services, DMARC policy).

### Quick start

Detect website frameworks, advertising pixels and DNS email signals.

Example input:

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "stripe.com"
  ],
  "track_diff": false
}
```

Example successful output (illustrative values, selected fields; not current measurements):

```json
{
  "domain": "stripe.com",
  "status": "ok",
  "frameworks": [
    "Next.js",
    "React"
  ],
  "email_provider": "Google Workspace",
  "technology_count": 2
}
```

Price: $0.003 per analyzed domain.

***

Built for lead qualification and AI agents: flat fields such as `has_meta_pixel` and `has_google_ads_tag` answer "does this company advertise?" without reading a long list.

Use this when you need to qualify or segment companies by their stack. Do NOT use it for traffic numbers or ad spend.

### Input

```json
{ "domains": ["stripe.com", "notion.so", "gymshark.com"] }
```

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `domains` | Company websites, up to 100 per run. Full URLs are fine. |
| `track_diff` | Compare with your previous run and fill `added` and `removed`. |
| `state_id` | Name of the saved history, one per watchlist. |
| `only_changes` | With `track_diff`: return only domains whose stack changed. |

### Output (one row per domain)

```json
{
  "domain": "gymshark.com",
  "status": "ok",
  "has_meta_pixel": true,
  "has_google_ads_tag": true,
  "has_ga4": true,
  "has_gtm": true,
  "has_linkedin_insight": false,
  "has_tiktok_pixel": true,
  "ad_pixels": ["Meta Pixel", "Google Ads", "TikTok Pixel"],
  "analytics": ["Google Analytics 4", "Google Tag Manager"],
  "marketing_tools": ["Klaviyo"],
  "cms": null,
  "ecommerce": "Shopify",
  "hosting_cdn": ["Cloudflare"],
  "email_provider": "Google Workspace",
  "spf_senders": ["Google Workspace", "Klaviyo"],
  "dmarc_policy": "reject",
  "verified_services": ["Google Search Console", "Meta Business"],
  "technology_count": 9
}
```

The example shows the format; run the Actor for real values. `status` is `ok`, `blocked` (the site refused automated access), `unreachable`, `invalid_input` or `not_checked`. Only `ok` is charged.

A small run summary is saved to the key-value store under `OUTPUT`. It also lists `related_tools`: other HirePulse tools that add data for the same input.

### How it works

- One plain HTTP request to the home page. No browser, no proxy.
- About 60 technologies are recognised by their public script hosts, tag IDs and response headers, from our own signature list.
- Ad pixels and analytics configured inside the site's Google Tag Manager container are found too.
- DNS (MX, TXT, DMARC) is read over DNS-over-HTTPS.

A BuiltWith / Wappalyzer alternative for the questions sales and marketing teams ask most.

### Limitations

- Only the home page is checked. Tools loaded only on other pages, or only after a cookie consent click, may be missed.
- Websites that block automated requests are reported as `blocked` and not charged.
- Detection is pattern-based; it tells you a tag is present, not how it is used.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Required. Company websites, one per item, up to 100 per run. Full URLs are fine too. Example: \["stripe.com", "gymshark.com"].

## `track_diff` (type: `boolean`):

Compare with the previous run that used the same state_id and fill added and removed (technologies new or gone). History is kept per domain in your own Apify account. Default: false.

## `state_id` (type: `string`):

Name of the saved history for change tracking. Use one value per watchlist. Example: "competitors". Default: "tech_state".

## `only_changes` (type: `boolean`):

With track_diff: return only domains whose technologies changed since the last run (plus first runs). Default: false.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "stripe.com",
    "notion.so",
    "gymshark.com"
  ],
  "track_diff": false,
  "state_id": "tech_state",
  "only_changes": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Dataset items: one row per domain.

## `runSummary` (type: `string`):

Counts of checked, charged and unreachable domains. Also lists related_tools: other HirePulse tools that add data for the same input.
