## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse Jobs Scraper: Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee & Personio jobs in one schema

Get **every open job** from any company that hires through **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee or Personio**, in **one clean, normalized format**, with **salary ranges**, **remote / hybrid / onsite**, **employment type** and **posted date**. Turn on **Only new jobs** and schedule it daily to get a feed of fresh postings.

No login, no proxies, no browser: it reads the public job-board APIs these ATS vendors publish for career pages, so runs are fast, cheap and rarely break.

### Who uses it

- **Sales and GTM teams**: hiring is a buying signal. Watch target accounts and act when they post roles in your area (e.g. "data engineer", "security").
- **Recruiters and staffing agencies**: see new openings at client and target companies the day they appear.
- **Job boards and newsletters**: feed niche boards with fresh, structured postings.
- **Market and salary research**: compare pay ranges, remote share and hiring volume across companies.

### How to scrape Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby jobs

1. Add companies: a bare slug (`stripe`), a careers URL (`https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/notion`, `https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb`), `https://apply.workable.com/huggingface`, `https://bunq.recruitee.com`, `https://acme.jobs.personio.de`), or a prefixed slug (`greenhouse:airbnb`, `workable:huggingface`, `recruitee:bunq`, `personio:acme`). A bare slug is tried on Greenhouse, then Lever, then Ashby; Workable, Recruitee and Personio need a URL or prefix, because the same slug can belong to a different company there.
2. Optional: **Title keywords** to keep only matching roles, **Only new jobs** for monitoring, **Include job description** off for lighter exports.
3. Run it, or create a **Schedule** (e.g. daily) with **Only new jobs** on. Export as JSON, CSV, Excel, or connect it to Make, Zapier, Google Sheets or a webhook.

Finding a company's slug: open its careers page; the job links usually contain `greenhouse.io/<slug>`, `lever.co/<slug>`, `ashbyhq.com/<slug>`, `apply.workable.com/<slug>`, `<slug>.recruitee.com` or `<slug>.jobs.personio.de`.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "companies": ["stripe", "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "onlyNew": true,
  "includeDescription": false
}
```

### Job data output

One row per job, the same fields for every ATS:

```json
{
  "source": "ashby",
  "company": "ramp",
  "companyName": null,
  "jobId": "34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "allLocations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (Canada)", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
  "country": "USA",
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "isRemote": true,
  "employmentType": "full-time",
  "salaryMin": 211400,
  "salaryMax": 290600,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryInterval": "year",
  "salaryText": "$211.4K - $290.6K",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245/application",
  "description": "ABOUT RAMP ...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-21T07:35:57.648Z"
}
```

A run summary (jobs per company, boards not found, failed inputs) is saved as `OUTPUT` in the run's key-value store. A company that cannot be found never fails the run and is never charged.

### How much does it cost to scrape Greenhouse jobs?

$1.50 per 1,000 jobs. Pay per result: you pay only for jobs returned. Set a **maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached. With **Only new jobs** on, daily monitoring of a company usually costs a fraction of a cent.

### Notes and limits

- Salary fields are filled when the company publishes pay on its board (common on Ashby, frequent on Greenhouse in pay-transparency states, rare on Lever, Workable and Personio; Recruitee when the company fills it in). Greenhouse does not state the pay interval, so `salaryInterval` is empty for Greenhouse.
- `companyName` is filled for Greenhouse, Workable, Recruitee and Personio; Lever and Ashby boards expose only the slug (`company`).
- Personio does not publish a separate apply link; `applyUrl` is the job page.
- Supports Greenhouse US and EU boards, Lever US and EU boards, and Personio `.de` and `.com` boards. Other ATS (SmartRecruiters, iCIMS) are not covered; for Workday use our [Workday Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/hiresignal-data/workday-jobs).
- Sources: the public [Greenhouse Job Board API](https://developers.greenhouse.io/job-board.html), [Lever Postings API](https://github.com/lever/postings-api) and [Ashby job posting API](https://developers.ashbyhq.com/docs/public-job-posting-api), plus the public career-page feeds of Workable, Recruitee and Personio.
- **Only new jobs** remembers the jobs that were open on your previous run, per company, in a named key-value store in your account (`ats-jobs-monitor-seen`). Delete that store to start fresh.
- Data comes from public job postings that companies publish for anyone to read. It contains company and job information, not personal data. You are responsible for using it lawfully.

### FAQ

**Does it need my login or an API key?** No.
**How fresh is the data?** Live: each run reads the boards at that moment.
**Why did a company return nothing?** It may use a different ATS or a custom careers site. Check its job links for the ATS domain.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Company board slugs or careers-page URLs. Examples: stripe, https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/notion, https://apply.workable.com/huggingface, https://bunq.recruitee.com, https://acme.jobs.personio.de, or a prefixed slug like greenhouse:airbnb or workable:huggingface. A bare slug is tried on Greenhouse, then Lever, then Ashby; Workable, Recruitee and Personio need a URL or prefix.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Return only jobs that were not open the last time you ran this Actor (remembered per company in your account). The first run returns everything. Use with a daily Schedule to get a feed of new postings.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive). Empty = all jobs.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full job description as plain text. Turn off for smaller, faster exports.
