## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Health Check — SEO, SSL, DNS, Security & Tech Stack

Check **hundreds of websites in one run** and get **one clean row per domain** with everything that usually needs 4–5 separate tools:

- **SSL**: valid or not, issuer, expiry date, days left (catch certificates about to expire)
- **DNS & email security**: A/AAAA, nameservers, MX, **SPF** and **DMARC policy** (spot domains open to email spoofing)
- **Security headers**: HSTS, X-Frame-Options / CSP, X-Content-Type-Options, HTTPS redirect, mixed content
- **SEO basics**: title & length, meta description, H1 count, canonical, noindex, viewport, `lang`, Open Graph image, images missing `alt`
- **Speed signals**: server response time, HTML size, gzip/brotli compression
- **Tech platform**: WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Next.js, Magento, Joomla, Drupal, Haravan, Sapo, Cloudflare
- **Health score (0–100)** plus a plain-English **list of issues** for each site

### Who it's for

- **Agencies & freelancers** qualifying leads: feed a list of prospect domains, sort by health score, pitch the ones with real problems.
- **SEO / IT teams** monitoring a portfolio of sites for expiring SSL, missing DMARC, noindex mistakes.
- **Lead-gen workflows**: chain it after any scraper that outputs websites.

### Input

```json
{ "websites": ["example.com", "https://shop.example.com"], "maxConcurrency": 10, "timeoutSecs": 20 }
```

Domains or full URLs. Duplicates are removed. Invalid entries are returned with `error` and are **not charged**.

### Output (one item per website)

`domain, healthScore, issuesCount, issues[], statusCode, finalUrl, httpsEnforced, responseTimeMs, htmlSizeKb, compression,
sslValid, sslIssuer, sslExpiresAt, sslDaysLeft, ipv4, nameservers, mxRecords, spfRecord, dmarcPolicy, hsts, xFrameOptions,
title, titleLength, metaDescription, h1Count, canonical, noindex, viewport, imagesMissingAlt, mixedContent, platforms[] …`

Export as JSON, CSV, Excel, or pull via API.

### How it works

Plain HTTP, DNS and TLS requests to each site's **homepage only** — no browser, no proxies, fast and cheap
(50 sites ≈ 10 seconds). It reads only public technical information; it does **not** collect personal data, emails or phone numbers.

### Pricing

Pay per result: you are charged only for websites that were actually checked.

### Limitations

- Checks the homepage (or the exact URL you give), not the whole site.
- Speed signals are server-side measurements, not full Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals.
- Sites that block automated requests may show as unreachable.
