## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Podcast Leads Finder: host emails, activity and guest score

Find **active podcasts that take guests** in any niche. You get the **owner's contact email**, website, social links and how often each show publishes, all in one table ready for outreach.

Built for:

- **Podcast guesting**: pitch yourself or your clients as a guest.
- **Sponsorship and ad sales**: find shows in your niche that are still publishing.
- **PR agencies and podcast booking services**: build prospect lists in minutes.

### Why this one

| | Podcast Leads Finder | Typical alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| Price per podcast with email | **$0.008** | $0.05 or more on the Store; $49–$400/mo for SaaS tools |
| Skips dead shows | Yes (`onlyActive`, `activeDays`) | Often no |
| Guest-interview score | Yes | Rarely |
| Opt-out list | Yes | Rarely |

You only pay for podcasts that pass your filters, and `maxResults` puts a hard cap on cost.

### What you get (one row per show)

`title`, `author`, `ownerName`, `ownerEmail`, `contactEmails`, `website`, `socialLinks`, `primaryGenre`, `genres`, `language`, `country`, `episodeCount`, `lastEpisodeDate`, `avgDaysBetweenEpisodes`, `isActive`, `guestInterviewScore` (0–1, the share of recent episode titles that look like interviews), `appleUrl`, `feedUrl`, `artworkUrl`, `explicit`, `searchKeyword`.

```json
{
  "title": "Growth Talks",
  "ownerName": "Jane Host",
  "ownerEmail": "jane@growthtalks.fm",
  "website": "https://growthtalks.fm",
  "episodeCount": 212,
  "lastEpisodeDate": "2026-10-05T10:00:00.000Z",
  "avgDaysBetweenEpisodes": 7,
  "isActive": true,
  "guestInterviewScore": 0.67
}
```

### How to use

1. Enter one or more **keywords** (e.g. `saas marketing`, `real estate investing`).
2. Keep **Only active shows** and **Only shows with a contact email** on for outreach lists.
3. Run it, then export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or connect it to Google Sheets, Zapier or Make.

### Pricing (pay per event)

- **Podcast with contact email:** $0.008
- **Podcast without email** (only when you turn off "Only shows with a contact email"): $0.002

1,000 qualified leads cost about **$8**.

### Data sources and responsible use

Data comes from the public Apple Podcasts search API and each show's own public RSS feed, where publishers list a contact email for directory use. This Actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

Contact emails can be personal data under GDPR and similar laws. Use them only for relevant, individual business outreach, honor opt-outs (add them to `excludeEmails`), and follow the anti-spam laws that apply to you.

### Support

Open an issue on the Actor's **Issues** tab and it will usually be fixed within a few days.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Topics to search on Apple Podcasts, e.g. 'saas marketing', 'true crime'.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter store country code.

## `maxResultsPerKeyword` (type: `integer`):

How many podcasts to return for each keyword at most.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap so you never pay for more than you want.

## `onlyActive` (type: `boolean`):

Skip shows with no episode in the last N days.

## `activeDays` (type: `integer`):

A show counts as active if it published an episode within this many days. Raise it for niche topics where shows post less often.

## `minEpisodes` (type: `integer`):

Skip shows with fewer episodes than this.

## `requireEmail` (type: `boolean`):

Only return shows whose feed or description lists a contact email. Turn off to also get shows without one (charged at the lower rate).

## `checkWebsites` (type: `boolean`):

Many feeds hide their email. When on, the Actor also checks the show's own website (home, contact and about pages) for a contact email.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Optional, e.g. 'en'. Matches the feed's language tag.

## `excludeEmails` (type: `array`):

Emails to never return (e.g. people who asked not to be contacted).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many shows to check in parallel.
