## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Tenders Scraper (TED) – Public Procurement Notices, Bids & Awards

Find **EU public tenders** from **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)**, the official journal for European public procurement, which carries 750,000+ notices a year from all 27 EU countries plus EEA, Switzerland, Ukraine and more. This Actor uses the **official TED Search API** run by the EU Publications Office (no scraping, no login, no API key) and returns clean, flat JSON/CSV: **title, buyer, country, CPV codes, deadline, estimated value, procedure type, and direct links to the notice page and PDF**.

### What can I use it for?

- **Daily tender alerts**: schedule it with *Only new since last run* to get only fresh tenders matching your keywords and CPV codes.
- **Bid/no-bid pipelines**: send open tenders with deadlines and values to Google Sheets, a CRM, Slack or an AI agent.
- **Market intelligence**: track who buys what in your sector and country, and how much they spend.
- **Competitor tracking**: pull contract award results and (optionally) the winning organisations.
- **Public sector sales prospecting** for SaaS, IT, consulting, medical, construction and any other sector.

### Features

- Filter by **keywords** (full text, any language), **CPV codes** (parent codes include all children), **buyer country** (ISO-2 or ISO-3), **notice type** (open tenders, awards, prior information, modifications), **publication date**, **open deadline** and **minimum value**
- **Only new since last run** mode for alerts (deduplicates across scheduled runs)
- **24 languages**: titles come pre-translated by TED; pick your preferred language
- **Expert query** box for anything the TED search syntax supports
- Unlimited depth: iterates through all matches (TED's 250-per-page limit handled for you)
- Emails and phone numbers are removed from descriptions, and buyer contact fields are never requested
- Retries with backoff and `Retry-After` support; a clear `RUN_SUMMARY` with the exact TED query used

### Use with AI agents (MCP)

This Actor is available as a tool in the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com). Add it with

### FAQ

**Where does the data come from?** From the official TED Search API (api.ted.europa.eu) of the Publications Office of the European Union. TED data is free to reuse under the EU's open-data reuse policy (source: TED, © European Union).
**Why do some notices have no value or deadline?** Buyers don't always publish them, and award or prior-information notices have no tender deadline.
**What is a CPV code?** The EU's Common Procurement Vocabulary, e.g. 72000000 = IT services, 48000000 = software, 79000000 = business services, 33000000 = medical equipment.
**Can I get US federal tenders too?** Yes, see our *SAM.gov Contract Opportunities* Actor.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Full-text search across the notice (any language). Multiple keywords are combined with OR, e.g. software, cloud, cybersecurity.

## `cpvCodes` (type: `array`):

Common Procurement Vocabulary codes. Parent codes include all children: 72000000 (IT services) also returns 72200000, 72212000… You can type just the prefix (72, 4800).

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Country of the contracting authority, ISO alpha-3 (DEU, FRA, ESP) or alpha-2 (DE, FR, ES). Empty = all EU/EEA.

## `noticeTypes` (type: `array`):

Which kinds of notices to return. Default: open tenders (contract notices). Leave empty for all.
