## Pricing

from $0.75 / 1,000 facebook comments

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Social Media Comments Scraper - FB, IG, TikTok, Reddit

Paste post links from **Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Reddit** in any mix and get their comments in **one consistent format**: the same field names for text, author, likes and dates on every network. Built for cross-platform social listening, campaign reporting, sentiment analysis and AI datasets.

- One input, four networks: Facebook posts, videos and reels, Instagram posts and reels, TikTok videos and Reddit threads
- One schema for everything, plus each network's extras: the Facebook reaction breakdown, TikTok's creator-liked flag, Reddit score and depth
- Up to 1,000 links per run, with Facebook replies optional (new links are collected at roughly 150 an hour, so large batches of new links take several hours)
- No logins, no cookies and no proxies to manage

### Why this one

| Advantage | Details |
|---|---|
| Four networks, one run | Mix Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Reddit links in a single input |
| One clean schema | The same field names for text, author, likes and dates on every network |
| No extra cost for mixing | Each network's comments cost the same as in our dedicated scraper for it |
| No start fee | You pay per comment and per post, and the Reddit `post` row is free |
| No login | No accounts, cookies or proxies needed |

### What you get

```json
{
  "platform": "facebook",
  "type": "comment",
  "id": "1234567890123456",
  "postId": "1657752149053488",
  "postUrl": "https://www.facebook.com/1657752149053488",
  "parentId": null,
  "url": "https://www.facebook.com/1657752149053488?comment_id=1234567890123456",
  "text": "Amazing photo, congratulations to the whole team!",
  "language": "en",
  "createdAt": "2026-10-17T14:13:53.000Z",
  "author": { "id": "100000000000001", "username": "jane.doe", "name": "Jane Doe", "profileUrl": "https://www.facebook.com/jane.doe" },
  "likeCount": 9,
  "replyCount": 3,
  "reactionCount": 12,
  "reactions": { "like": 9, "love": 2, "care": 0, "haha": 1, "wow": 0, "sad": 0, "angry": 0 },
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-17T16:09:00.000Z"
}
```

Every row has `platform` set to `facebook`, `instagram`, `tiktok` or `reddit`. Facebook replies have `"type": "reply"` with `parentId` set to the comment they answer. Reddit comments and replies all have `"type": "comment"`: replies have `depth` 1 and `parentId` set. On top of the shared fields:

- **Facebook** adds the reaction breakdown, mentions, hashtags and attached images
- **Instagram** commenters come with username and id, without a display name. You get top-level comments only, and `replyCount` is always null
- **TikTok** adds `likedByCreator`. You get top-level comments only (`replyCount` shows how many replies each one has), and `url` is null because TikTok comments have no link of their own: `postUrl` links to the video
- **Reddit** adds `depth`, `score`, `subreddit` and `edited`, and each thread also returns one free `post` row with the thread itself. `replyCount` is always null

### How to use it

1. Paste post links, one per line, from any of the four networks: Facebook `/posts/…`, `/videos/…` and `/reel/…` (share links are opened when Facebook allows it), Instagram `/p/…` and `/reel/…`, TikTok `tiktok.com/@user/video/…`, and Reddit `…/comments/ID/…` or `redd.it/ID`.
2. Set **Max comments per post** (up to 24 is the fastest) and choose whether to **Include replies** for Facebook posts.
3. Run it. Comments we collected recently arrive instantly. New posts usually take about a minute each with up to 24 comments (bigger limits take longer), and up to 3 posts are processed in parallel. For large batches of new posts, check that the run's **Timeout** in the run options leaves enough time. Live collection is capped at about 1,000 new posts per run at default settings (fewer with higher comment limits); the rest can go in another run.

Calling it from an AI agent or with a short timeout? Start the run asynchronously and fetch the dataset when it finishes, or turn on **Previously collected data only** for an instant answer.

Facebook comments come in Facebook's **Most relevant** order, which often shows fewer comments than the post's comment count. To choose **Newest** or **All comments**, use [Facebook Comments Scraper - Reaction Breakdown](https://apify.com/icoe-man/facebook-comments-scraper). Reddit threads always come with comments and their direct replies, sorted by top. TikTok short links (vm.tiktok.com) are not supported: open the video and copy its full address.

### Pricing

Pay only for what you get. Each network's comments cost the same as in our dedicated scraper for that network:

| | Free | Starter | Scale | Business |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Per 1,000 Facebook comments | $1.25 | $1.05 | $0.90 | $0.75 |
| Per 1,000 Instagram comments | $1.25 | $1.05 | $0.90 | $0.75 |
| Per 1,000 TikTok comments | $0.95 | $0.70 | $0.55 | $0.40 |
| Per 1,000 Reddit comments | $1.20 | $0.99 | $0.85 | $0.70 |
| Per post processed | $0.005 | $0.005 | $0.005 | $0.005 |

The per-post fee is charged once for every link we collect successfully, even when it has no comments. The Reddit `post` row is free. Posts that cannot be collected, such as private ones, are not charged.

**Example:** 1,000 Facebook, 1,000 Instagram and 1,000 TikTok comments from 60 posts on the Starter plan cost 1,000 × $0.00105 + 1,000 × $0.00105 + 1,000 × $0.0007 + 60 × $0.005 = **$3.10**.

Use **Maximum cost per run** in the run options to cap your spend. The Actor stops cleanly at that limit.

**Free plan:** you get previously collected comments plus a small live allowance each day. Any paid Apify plan removes the limit.

### FAQ

#### Is scraping social media comments legal?

This Actor collects publicly visible comments only. Personal data is protected by laws such as GDPR, so only collect what you have a legitimate reason to process, and consult your lawyer if unsure.

#### How fresh is the data?

The input form starts with **Reuse data collected within** at 24 hours, so comments we collected in the last 24 hours come back instantly and other posts are collected live. API calls that leave the field out use 6 hours, and higher values reuse older collected data (up to 720 hours). Set it to 0 to always collect live. If a post cannot be collected live right now (for example because the free plan's daily allowance or the run's live limit is used up), you get any comments we collected before, with a note in `OUTPUT`. With 0, or if we have none, such posts are only reported in `OUTPUT` and are not charged.

#### Can I use it via API, Make, Zapier or n8n?

Yes. Use the Apify API or any Apify integration. Each run's results are in its default dataset, and when the run finishes, `OUTPUT` in the key-value store has a per-post summary.

#### Why do the networks have different prices?

Each network's comments are priced exactly like our dedicated comments scraper for that network, and the per-post fee is the same too, so you can mix networks in one run without paying extra.

#### Can I get deeper Reddit threads or profile-wide comments?

This Actor takes post links only. For up to 5 Reddit reply levels use [Reddit Comments Scraper - Full Threads & Depth](https://apify.com/icoe-man/reddit-comments-scraper). For the latest posts of an Instagram or TikTok profile use [Instagram Comments Scraper - Profiles & Date Range](https://apify.com/icoe-man/instagram-comments-scraper) or [TikTok Comments Scraper - Profiles & Date Range](https://apify.com/icoe-man/tiktok-comments-scraper).

#### Can I use it from an AI agent or MCP server?

Yes. Connect your agent to the Apify MCP server at mcp.apify.com, or call the Apify API. New posts take about a minute each, so start long runs asynchronously and fetch the dataset when the run finishes. For an instant answer, turn on **Previously collected data only**.

#### Why did I get no results?

Common reasons: the post is private or deleted, the link is not a supported post link (for example a vm.tiktok.com short link), the free plan's daily live allowance is used up, or the run reached your **Maximum cost per run**. The run's `OUTPUT` record in the key-value store shows the status of every link, with a note explaining any problem, and lists links that were rejected with the reason.

# Actor input Schema

## `postUrls` (type: `array`):

Links to public Facebook posts, videos or reels, Instagram posts or reels, TikTok videos (tiktok.com/@user/video/...) and Reddit threads, in any mix, one per line. Up to 1,000 per run.

## `maxCommentsPerPost` (type: `integer`):

How many comments to collect per post. Facebook replies (if enabled) and Reddit replies count toward this limit. Up to 24 is fastest. Each comment is billed at its network's price, plus a small fee per post.

## `includeReplies` (type: `boolean`):

Also collect replies on Facebook. Replies count toward the comment limit. Reddit threads always include comments and their direct replies. Instagram and TikTok posts return top-level comments only.

## `maxDataAgeHours` (type: `integer`):

If we collected these comments within this many hours, you get them instantly at the same price. The form starts at 24; API calls that leave this field out use 6. Higher values reuse older collected data (up to 720). Use 0 to always collect fresh data.

## `cacheOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Return only comments we already collected, without waiting for live collection. Useful for AI agents with short timeouts.
