# DACH Tech Stack Detector for CMS, Shop Systems and Cookie Tools (`infinit_bubulus/dach-tech-stack-detector`) Actor

Detects CMS, shop system, cookie consent tool, analytics, chat, booking and payment tools of websites with a focus on German, Austrian and Swiss systems. Flags outdated software such as Shopware 5 or old PHP versions. No personal data in the output.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## DACH Tech Stack Detector

Find out which systems a website runs on. The Actor reads the start page and its response headers and returns the CMS, the shop system, the cookie consent tool, analytics and ad tags, chat, booking and payment tools, CDN, server and more.

It knows the systems that are common in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Among them are Shopware 5 and 6, JTL-Shop, Gambio, plentymarkets, OXID, xt:Commerce, modified eCommerce, Contao, TYPO3, Jimdo, IONOS MyWebsite, Borlabs Cookie, CCM19, Usercentrics, consentmanager, etracker, econda, Userlike, Trusted Shops, ProvenExpert, eKomi, Doctolib, eTermin, Unzer and many international tools.

### Lead signals

Each website also gets signals that help agencies find good prospects.

| Signal | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `shopware5_end_of_life` | The shop still runs on Shopware 5, which is no longer maintained since 2024 |
| `php_end_of_life` | The server reports PHP 8.1 or older, which gets no security updates |
| `jquery_outdated` | jQuery older than 3.5.0 with known XSS issues |
| `no_https` | The site is not served over HTTPS |
| `trackers_without_consent_tool` | Tracking or ad scripts without a detectable consent tool or cookie banner |
| `google_fonts_external` | Fonts loaded from Google servers |
| `youtube_standard_embed` | YouTube embedded without youtube-nocookie.com |
| `universal_analytics_leftover` | Old Universal Analytics code still on the page |
| `server_version_exposed` | Server software versions visible in headers |
| `cms_version_exposed` | CMS version visible in the page source |

`upgradeCandidate` is true when a site has an outdated system or no HTTPS.

### Output

One row per website. The flat fields work well in Excel or Google Sheets. The view "Technologies" lists one row per detected technology.

```json
{
  "url": "https://www.example.de/",
  "status": "ok",
  "cms": "WordPress",
  "cmsVersion": "6.2.1",
  "shopSystem": "WooCommerce",
  "pageBuilder": "Elementor",
  "consentTools": "Borlabs Cookie",
  "analytics": "Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4",
  "phpVersion": "7.4.33",
  "upgradeCandidate": true,
  "signalCodes": ["php_end_of_life", "server_version_exposed", "cms_version_exposed"],
  "technologies": [{ "name": "WordPress", "category": "cms", "version": "6.2.1" }]
}
```

### Billing

You pay per website with status `ok`. Websites that block bots, cannot be reached or disallow access in robots.txt are listed with their status and cost nothing. The run stops before your spending limit.

### How it works

The Actor sends two to four requests per website. It reads robots.txt and follows it by default, follows redirects and looks at public signals only, the same ones every browser receives. It does not log in, does not solve CAPTCHAs and does not store personal data. Cookie values are never kept, only cookie names are used for detection.

Detection on static HTML cannot see tools that load later through a tag manager. A missing tool in the result means it was not visible in the first page load.

# Actor input Schema

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Domains or start pages, one per line, for example example.de. Each website is analysed once.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many websites are analysed at the same time. Each website gets only a few requests.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Maximum wait time per request.

## `respectRobotsTxt` (type: `boolean`):

Skip websites whose robots.txt disallows the start page (RFC 9309). Recommended.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "urls": [
    "https://www.bundestag.de",
    "https://typo3.org"
  ],
  "maxConcurrency": 10,
  "requestTimeoutSecs": 15,
  "respectRobotsTxt": true
}
```

## `results` (type: `string`):

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("infinit_bubulus/dach-tech-stack-detector").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
