## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby & SmartRecruiters Jobs Scraper API

**Get live job listings straight from companies' own career sites.** This Actor reads the **official public job-board APIs of Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters** and returns every posting in **one clean, normalized schema**: title, department, location, remote flag, **salary range**, posted date, apply link and full description.

- ✅ **No login, no cookies, no proxies, no browser.** Just JSON APIs, so runs are fast and cheap.
- 🔔 **Only-new-jobs mode** turns a daily schedule into a **job alert feed** that never repeats a posting.
- 💲 **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs**, no start fee, no monthly rental. Apify compute is included.

### What does this jobs scraper do?

Give it a list of company career pages or slugs (`stripe`, `jobs.lever.co/spotify`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`). It:

1. **finds the right job board** for each company (bare slugs are auto-detected across all 4 ATSs);
2. **downloads every open job** from the official board API;
3. **filters** by title keywords, excluded words, location, department, remote only and posted within N days;
4. **saves one row per job** in the same format for every ATS.

In two test runs on the Apify platform on 2026-10-27, the default input (Airbnb on Greenhouse, Spotify on Lever, Ramp on Ashby) returned **452 jobs in 3 to 15 seconds of run time**, 166 of them with a published salary range.

### Why use it?

- 🏢 **4 applicant tracking systems in one Actor and one schema:** Greenhouse (`boards.greenhouse.io`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io`), Lever (`jobs.lever.co`, `jobs.eu.lever.co`), Ashby (`jobs.ashbyhq.com`) and SmartRecruiters (`careers.smartrecruiters.com`, `jobs.smartrecruiters.com`).
- 💰 **Salary data where employers publish it:** Ashby compensation, Lever `salaryRange` and Greenhouse pay-transparency ranges (optional).
- 🆕 **Only-new-jobs memory** per saved search (`stateKey`), built for schedules and alerts.
- 🎯 **First-party data:** postings come from the employer's own ATS, and `applyUrl` points to the employer's real application form, not a reposting site.
- 🔌 **Works everywhere Apify works:** API, webhooks, Zapier, Make, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, and AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

### Use cases

- **Job alerts:** new roles at your target companies every morning, by email, Slack or Google Sheets.
- **Job boards and niche aggregators:** feed your site with fresh, de-duplicated jobs from hundreds of companies.
- **Recruiting and talent intelligence:** see which teams competitors are hiring for, and where.
- **Sales and investor signals:** hiring spikes in a department are a buying or growth signal.
- **Salary benchmarking:** collect published pay ranges by title, location and company.
- **Labor-market research:** build datasets of postings over time.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. In **Companies**, add one per line:
   - a career-page URL, e.g. `https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb`, `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`, `https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup`;
   - or `source:slug`, e.g. `greenhouse:stripe`, `lever:spotify`, `ashby:ramp`, `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup`;
   - or a bare slug such as `stripe`, which is auto-detected.
3. Optionally add filters: title keywords, locations, departments, remote only, posted within days.
4. Click **Start**. Download JSON, CSV, Excel or XML, or read results through the Apify API.
5. **For daily alerts:** turn on **Only jobs not seen in previous runs**, give the search a **memory name**, and add a **Schedule**.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "companies": ["greenhouse:airbnb", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify", "ashby:ramp", "stripe"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data scientist"],
  "excludeTitleKeywords": ["intern"],
  "locations": ["remote", "new york", "london"],
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
}
```

### Output example

A real record from the test run on 2026-10-27 (description shortened):

```json
{
  "id": "ashby:ramp:34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "source": "ashby",
  "companySlug": "ramp",
  "company": "ramp",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "allLocations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (Canada)", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
  "country": "USA",
  "isRemote": false,
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "employmentType": "Full-time",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753000Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245/application",
  "salaryMin": 211400,
  "salaryMax": 290600,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryInterval": "year",
  "salaryText": "$211.4K - $290.6K",
  "descriptionText": "ABOUT RAMP\n\nRamp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams …",
  "sourceApiUrl": "https://api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/ramp",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-27T14:44:50.897259Z"
}
```

Every item has the same fields:

| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Identity | `id`, `source`, `companySlug`, `company` |
| Role | `title`, `department`, `team`, `employmentType` |
| Location | `location`, `allLocations`, `country`, `isRemote`, `workplaceType` |
| Dates | `postedAt`, `updatedAt` |
| Links | `url`, `applyUrl` |
| Salary | `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryInterval`, `salaryText` |
| Description | `descriptionText`, optional `descriptionHtml` |
| Provenance | `sourceApiUrl`, `scrapedAt` |

A field the source doesn't provide is `null`. Each run also writes a `RUN_SUMMARY` record to the key-value store with jobs found and matched per company, plus any boards that weren't found.

### How much does it cost?

**$1.50 per 1,000 jobs saved** ($0.0015 per job), with **no start fee and no monthly rental**. Apify platform compute is included in the price, so you pay only for results.

- Boards with no matching jobs cost nothing, and jobs removed by your filters aren't charged.
- Example: a daily alert that returns 40 new jobs costs about **$0.06 a day**.
- Set a **maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops cleanly at your limit.

The **Pricing** tab always shows the current price.

### How it compares

| | This Actor | LinkedIn / Indeed job scrapers | Single-ATS scrapers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Data source | Employer's own ATS, via its official public API | Job-board pages | One ATS's API |
| Login, cookies or proxies | None | Often proxies | Usually none |
| ATSs covered | Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters | n/a | One |
| Jobs only posted on LinkedIn / Indeed | ❌ Not covered | ✅ | ❌ |
| Workday, iCIMS, Taleo | ❌ Not covered | n/a | Depends |

Choose this Actor when you know which companies you care about and want first-party, low-cost, repeatable data. Choose a LinkedIn or Indeed scraper when you need to search the whole market by keyword.

### Is it legal to collect this data?

This Actor reads only **published job postings** through the **public job-board APIs** that Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters provide for career sites. It doesn't log in, bypass access controls or collect candidate data. Lever's Postings API documentation notes that published postings are publicly viewable and may be accessed by third parties.

You are responsible for how you use the data, including attribution and the rules of the companies whose jobs you republish. If unsure, consult a lawyer.

### FAQ

**How do I find a company's slug?**
Open its careers page. The slug is the path segment after the ATS host: in `jobs.lever.co/spotify` it's `spotify`, in `boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb` it's `airbnb`. You can also paste the whole URL.

**Does it support Workday, iCIMS, Taleo or LinkedIn?**
No. It covers only ATSs with an official public job-board API, which keeps it fast, reliable and proxy-free.

**Why do some jobs have no salary?**
Employers decide whether to publish pay. Salary appears when the ATS API exposes it. For Greenhouse, turn on **Fetch Greenhouse pay ranges**.

**How do I get only new jobs every day?**
Turn on `onlyNewJobs`, pick a `stateKey`, and schedule the Actor. Each `stateKey` keeps its own memory of jobs already seen.

**How fast is it?**
The default input (3 large companies, 452 jobs) finished in 3 to 15 seconds of run time in two runs on 2026-10-27. Long company lists take longer; `maxConcurrency` controls how many boards are fetched at once.

**Can I use it with the API, Zapier, Make, n8n or an AI agent?**
Yes. Every Apify integration, webhook and the Apify MCP server work with it.

**A company I need doesn't work.**
Check that its careers page is on one of the 4 supported ATSs. If it is and still fails, open an issue on the **Issues** tab with the URL.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line. Paste a careers page URL (boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, job-boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, jobs.lever.co/spotify, jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup), or write source:slug (greenhouse:stripe, lever:spotify, ashby:ramp, smartrecruiters:BoschGroup). A bare slug such as "stripe" is auto-detected across all four job boards.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Whole-word, case-insensitive match on the job title, e.g. engineer, product manager, data. Leave empty to keep every title.

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. intern, senior, director.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Case-insensitive match on location, all listed locations and country, e.g. New York, Remote, Germany, US.

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Case-insensitive match on department and team, e.g. Engineering, Sales.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the employer marks as remote (hybrid is excluded).

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs first published (or, for Greenhouse jobs with no publish date, updated) in the last N days. Leave empty for all open jobs.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers job IDs between runs (in a named key-value store) and returns only new postings. Ideal for a daily schedule that alerts you to new openings.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Use different names to keep separate 'seen' lists for different searches or schedules.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds descriptionText. For SmartRecruiters this needs one extra request per saved job.

## `includeDescriptionHtml` (type: `boolean`):

Adds descriptionHtml (larger output).

## `includeGreenhouseSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Greenhouse only exposes pay-transparency ranges per job, so this makes one extra request per saved Greenhouse job. Lever and Ashby salaries are always included when the employer publishes them.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many matching jobs per company. Leave empty for no limit.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Stop the run after this many jobs. Leave empty for no limit.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many job boards to fetch at once. The default is gentle on the job-board APIs.
