## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Tender Feed API: EU TED, UK Find a Tender & Contracts Finder

**Get EU and UK public procurement notices in one clean feed.** Each run searches **TED** (the EU Official Journal tender database), **UK Find a Tender** and **UK Contracts Finder** through their official, keyless APIs. Results come back as one row per notice in a single schema, with buyer, country, CPV codes, value, deadline, lots and the official notice link.

- 🔓 **Official APIs only.** No page scraping, no proxies, no CAPTCHAs.
- 🇪🇺🇬🇧 **EU + UK in one run.** UK notices left TED after Brexit, so bidders in both markets normally need two tools.
- 🔔 **Tender alerts.** Watch mode returns only notices you haven't seen yet. Pair it with a daily schedule.
- 💲 **$2.50 per 1,000 notices**, with no start fee and no monthly rental. Apify compute is included.

### What does it do?

For your filters (keywords, buyer countries, CPV codes, notice types, date range), it queries each selected source, normalizes the notices, removes notices posted on both UK services, mixes the sources newest first, and saves up to **Max notices** rows.

In a local test on 2026-10-27, the prefilled input (`software`, last 7 days, open tenders, max 20) saved **20 notices in about 5 seconds** (TED 18, Find a Tender 1, Contracts Finder 1).

### Use cases

- **Bid and tender alerts** for agencies, consultancies, IT and construction firms selling to the public sector.
- **Market intelligence:** who is buying what, where, and for how much.
- **Award tracking:** see which contracts were awarded (choose the *Contract awards* notice type).
- **CRM and pipeline feeds:** send new notices to Slack, email, Google Sheets or your CRM through Apify integrations, Zapier, Make or n8n.
- **US + EU + UK coverage:** combine with our [SAM.gov Contract Opportunities](https://apify.com/infocomp/sam-gov-opportunities) Actor for US federal tenders.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Add **keywords** (any match), and optionally **buyer countries** (e.g. `DE`, `FR`, `GB`) and **CPV codes** (`72` covers all IT services, `45` all construction).
3. Pick the **sources**, **notice types** and a date range (**last N days** or exact dates).
4. Click **Start**, then download JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.
5. **For alerts:** turn on **Watch mode: only new notices**, pick a **state key** for this search, and add a daily **Schedule**.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "keywords": ["software", "cloud"],
  "countries": ["DE", "IE", "GB"],
  "cpvCodes": ["72"],
  "sources": ["ted", "find-a-tender", "contracts-finder"],
  "noticeTypes": ["tender"],
  "daysBack": 7,
  "maxResults": 200,
  "onlyNewNotices": true,
}
```

If you list countries without `GB`, the UK sources are skipped automatically.

```
(The second record is shortened.) Fields a source doesn't provide are `null`. TED titles are in English when TED has an English version; otherwise they're in the original language. Descriptions are in the language the buyer used. A per-run summary (counts per source, errors, the exact TED query) is saved as `RUN_SUMMARY` in the key-value store.
**No personal data.** Named contact persons, personal emails and phone numbers are not collected. You get the buying organisation, its city and country, and the official notice link. This is a tender feed, not a contact list.
### How much does it cost?
**$2.50 per 1,000 notices saved** ($0.0025 per notice), with **no start fee and no monthly rental**.
- You pay only for notices saved to the dataset. Failed requests, empty searches, duplicates and notices already seen in watch mode are free.
- Example: the prefilled run (20 notices) costs **$0.05**. A daily alert with 30 new notices costs about $0.075 a day.
- Set a **maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops cleanly when it reaches it.
The **Pricing** tab always shows the current price.
### Speed and fair use
Requests are small (100 notices per page), throttled per source, and retried with backoff on errors. TED traffic stays far below its published fair-usage limits (700 requests per minute and 600 notice views per 6 minutes per IP). A single query returns at most 15,000 notices, so split very large pulls by date range.
### Data sources, terms and attribution
- **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily):** Source: TED, © European Union, https://ted.europa.eu, via the TED Search API v3. Reused under Commission Decision 2011/833/EU; TED notices "can be freely reused, for commercial or non-commercial purposes". No TED or EU logos are used.
- **UK Find a Tender** (find-tender.service.gov.uk) and **UK Contracts Finder** (contractsfinder.service.gov.uk), via their OCDS APIs: Contains public sector information licensed under the [Open Government Licence v3.0](https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3/).
- **No endorsement:** this Actor is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Publications Office of the European Union, the European Commission, the UK Government, the Cabinet Office, Crown Commercial Service or any contracting authority. Data is provided as published; always check the official notice before bidding.
### More Business Leads tools from InfoComp
These tools work well together. Where present, they share common fields such as company name, state and a source link, so their outputs are easy to join.
- [SAM.gov Contract Opportunities](https://apify.com/infocomp/sam-gov-opportunities): US federal tenders and contract notices from the official SAM.gov API.
- [Form D Funding Leads](https://apify.com/infocomp/form-d-funding-leads): companies that just raised private funding, from SEC EDGAR Form D filings.
- [FMCSA Carrier Vetting](https://apify.com/infocomp/fmcsa-carrier-vetting): US trucking carrier operating authority and safety data from official FMCSA sources.
- [ATS Jobs Feed](https://apify.com/infocomp/ats-jobs-feed): open job postings straight from company applicant tracking systems (hiring signals).
### FAQ
**Do I need an API key?** No. All three sources are keyless.
**Why do UK notices appear only when I include GB?** Find a Tender and Contracts Finder cover UK buyers only, so they're skipped when your country list doesn't include the UK.
**What if one source is down?** Each source is queried separately. If one official API is slow or unavailable (Find a Tender's API had one network timeout in our tests on 2026-10-27; it worked in later checks), the run still finishes with the other sources, the log and `RUN_SUMMARY` show which source failed, and you pay only for notices actually saved.
**How are keywords matched?** TED searches the full notice text in every language. For UK notices, the Actor matches the title, description, buyer and lot titles.
**Can I get award notices?** Yes. Choose *Contract awards* (and/or *Planning / prior information*) in **Notice types**.
**Is it the same tender twice if it's on both UK services?** Matching title, buyer and notice type across Find a Tender and Contracts Finder are kept once (the Find a Tender copy).
# Actor input Schema
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Optional. A notice matches if it contains ANY of these words or phrases. TED searches the full notice text in every language. UK notices are matched on title, description, buyer and lot titles. Leave empty for all notices.
## `countries` (type: `array`):
Optional ISO codes, 2 or 3 letters, e.g. DE, FRA, IE, GB. Include GB to keep the UK sources. Leave empty for all countries.
## `cpvCodes` (type: `array`):
Optional CPV sector codes. Sub-codes are included, so 72000000 (or just 72) covers all IT services and 45 covers all construction work.
## `sources` (type: `array`):
TED is the EU Official Journal tender database (EU, EEA and more). Find a Tender is the UK's service for higher-value notices. Contracts Finder lists UK notices of £12,000 or more.
## `noticeTypes` (type: `array`):
Tender = open calls for bids (contract notices). Award = contract award notices. Planning = prior information notices.
## `daysBack` (type: `integer`):
Used when 'Published from' is empty.
## `dateFrom` (type: `string`):
Optional start date (YYYY-MM-DD). Overrides 'last N days'.
## `dateTo` (type: `string`):
Optional end date (YYYY-MM-DD). Defaults to today.
## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many notices in total. Sources are mixed newest first, so each one is represented. Your maximum cost per run also applies.
## `onlyNewNotices` (type: `boolean`):
Remembers the notices already returned (per state key) and saves only new ones. Use it with a daily schedule for tender alerts. Notices seen before are not charged.
## `stateKey` (type: `string`):
Name for this watch list. Use a different key for each saved search.
## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Short notice description (up to 1,000 characters, contact details removed).
