## SEC N-PORT Fund Holdings — every position a fund reports

Mutual funds and ETFs registered in the United States file **Form NPORT-P** with the SEC every quarter, listing *every single security they hold*. The filing is public, but it arrives as a raw XML document with thousands of nested nodes.

This Actor turns it into a flat table: **one row per position**.

### How to use it

**By fund** — put one or more registrant CIK numbers in `ciks`. The Actor reads that filer's submission history and takes the NPORT-P filings inside your date range.

**By date** — leave `ciks` empty and set `dateFrom` / `dateTo`. The Actor sweeps EDGAR's daily index and takes every NPORT-P filed in that window, newest first.

Use `maxFilings` to cap the run, `maxHoldingsPerFiling` to sample a large fund cheaply, and `minPctOfNetAssets` to keep only meaningful positions (e.g. `0.5` for half a percent and above).

### N-PORT vs 13F

13F shows what an *institutional manager* held at quarter end, and only US-listed equities. N-PORT shows what *the fund itself* held — bonds, foreign equities, cash equivalents, derivatives and all — with percent of net assets on every line. They answer different questions.

### Data source and limits

Data comes from **SEC EDGAR**, a public source. Every request declares a User-Agent with your contact address and stays under the SEC's fair-access limit of 10 requests per second, as required by [sec.gov/os/accessing-edgar-data](https://www.sec.gov/os/accessing-edgar-data). Your address is sent to sec.gov and nowhere else.

Filings appear on EDGAR up to 60 days after the reporting period ends — that lag is the SEC's, not this Actor's. Reported values are as of the period end date, not today.
