## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs Scraper: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio, Teamtailor, iCIMS

Get **every open job from any company's careers page** in one clean, consistent format. Paste a company website, a careers page, or a job board link. The Actor finds which applicant tracking system (ATS) the company uses and pulls all live postings straight from the official public job board feed.

No login, no cookies, no proxies, no browser. That makes it **fast, cheap and reliable**: hundreds of jobs per company in about a second (Workday boards take a little longer, see FAQ).

### What can you use it for?

- **Job boards & aggregators**: fill your board with fresh jobs from hundreds of companies, refreshed daily.
- **Recruiters & sales teams**: find companies that are hiring for a role you place or a product you sell ("who is hiring data engineers in Berlin?").
- **Hiring-intent leads**: a company opening 10 sales roles is growing. Spot it before your competitors.
- **Market & salary research**: compare roles, locations and posted salary ranges across companies.
- **Job seekers & alerts**: track your dream companies and get only new remote jobs matching your keywords.
- **AI agents & LLM pipelines**: clean JSON with plain-text descriptions, ready for embeddings or RAG.

### Supported platforms

| ATS | Example board | Salary data |
|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe` | in description |
| Lever (US + EU) | `jobs.lever.co/palantir` | ✅ when posted |
| Ashby | `jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai` | ✅ when posted |
| Workable | `apply.workable.com/company` | in description |
| SmartRecruiters | `careers.smartrecruiters.com/company` | in description |
| Recruitee | `company.recruitee.com` | ✅ when posted |
| Personio | `company.jobs.personio.de` | in description |
| Workday | `company.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/Site` | in description |
| Teamtailor | `company.teamtailor.com` or own career site | in description |
| iCIMS | iCIMS career sites (e.g. `careers.icims.com`) | in description |

### How to use

1. Add companies to **Companies**, one per line. Any of these work:
   - a website: `vercel.com`, `figma.com`
   - a careers page: `https://www.spotify.com/us/jobs/`
   - a job board link: `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`
   - an exact board: `greenhouse:stripe`, `ashby:openai`, `workday:nvidia.wd5/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`, `teamtailor:company`, `icims:careers.icims.com`
   - just a name: `airbnb` (the Actor checks every platform)
2. Optionally filter by **keywords**, **excluded keywords**, **locations**, **remote only** or **posted within N days**.
3. Click **Start**. Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel, or connect them to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or your API.

**Tip:** for daily alerts, create a [Schedule](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) with `postedWithinDays: 1`.

### Input example

```json
{
    "companies": ["vercel.com", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai", "greenhouse:stripe", "palantir"],
    "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
    "excludeKeywords": ["intern"],
    "locations": ["London", "remote"],
    "postedWithinDays": 30,
    "includeDescription": true
}
```

### Output example

Every job has the same fields, no matter which ATS it came from:

```json
{
    "ats": "ashby",
    "company": "openai",
    "jobId": "240d459b-696d-43eb-8497-fab3e56ecd9b",
    "title": "Research Engineer",
    "department": "Research",
    "team": "Research",
    "location": "San Francisco",
    "isRemote": null,
    "employmentType": "FullTime",
    "salary": { "min": 250000, "max": 445000, "currency": "USD", "interval": "1 YEAR" },
    "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/240d459b-696d-43eb-8497-fab3e56ecd9b",
    "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/240d459b-696d-43eb-8497-fab3e56ecd9b/application",
    "postedAt": "2025-04-05T00:03:20.653Z",
    "updatedAt": null,
    "descriptionHtml": "<p>About the team ...</p>",
    "descriptionText": "About the team ...",
    "input": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-25T12:00:00.000Z"
}
```

A per-company report (board found, jobs found, jobs saved, errors) is saved to the key-value store as `SUMMARY`.

### Pricing

You pay **only for jobs saved to your dataset**, after your filters are applied. Companies with no matches cost nothing. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### FAQ

**A company was not found. Why?**
It may use an ATS that is not supported yet (e.g. Taleo, SuccessFactors, older iCIMS portals at `careers-company.icims.com`), or a custom careers site. Try the direct job board link if you have it. Missing a platform you need? Open an issue and tell us which one.

**Workday runs are slower.**
Workday has no bulk feed: jobs are listed 20 at a time and each description is one more request. A 300-job Workday board takes about 15-30 seconds with descriptions, a few seconds without. Turn off **Include full description** if you only need titles, locations and links. Workday shows at most 2,000 jobs per career site.

**Plain names found the wrong company.**
Different companies can share a board name on different platforms. Use the website, the board link, or `ats:slug` to be exact.

**Is this legal?**
The Actor only reads public job board feeds that companies publish so their jobs can be found and shared. It does not log in or collect personal data about candidates or employees.

**Can I call it from code or an AI agent?**
Yes, via the Apify API, the official JS/Python clients, or Apify's MCP server.
