## Changelog

### 1.0.8 (2026-09-28)

- **Also save to dataset:** every delivered trend can be appended to a named dataset of your choice — with a schedule
and "Only new trends" you build your own Trending Now history beyond Google's ~8 days.
- Monitoring state is stored compressed and forgets waves a day after they leave the window (large feeds stay small).

### 1.0.6 (2026-09-28)

- **1,013 states and regions in 43 countries** (every code of Google's geo picker was tested): region names from
Google ("US-CA" → California), codes without a list answered in one request instead of three (38× faster).
- **Cost limit:** when it can't cover everything, every region gets its top trends (rank by rank) instead of whole
regions at the end of the list getting nothing; the status says how many were left out and why.
- **Memory:** news are fetched batch by batch (two batches ahead) and unused article references are dropped; the heap
is capped at 70% of the run's memory — a 7-day run of all countries no longer runs out of 256 MB.
- **"Only new trends":** two waves of the same search in one list (e.g. a player trending on two match days) were
re-delivered on every run — each wave is now remembered separately (old state is converted).
- New field `trendId` (region, search and start time) for upserts; short status messages.

### 1.0 (2026-09-28)

- First version: full Trending Now lists for 125 countries and sub-regions (US states, GB-ENG, DE-BY, …) in one run,
any window from 1 to 191 hours, search volume, growth, start/end time, related searches, categories, up to 20 news
articles per trend, cross-country view, filters (categories, active only, minimum volume, keywords), sorting and
"only new trends" monitoring for schedules (aware of Google regrouping searches between fetches, abort-safe).
- News are fetched only for delivered trends (never inline with the list), so large runs stay complete under load.
