## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## TED Scraper: EU Public Tenders & Procurement Notices

Scrape EU public procurement tenders and award notices from TED (Tenders Electronic Daily), and get clean JSON with computed deadlines and no personal contacts.

This Actor is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the Publications
Office of the European Union or the TED service.

Source: Tenders Electronic Daily (TED), Publications Office of the European Union. TED notices can be
reused freely, for commercial or non-commercial purposes. Each result links to the official notice.

### What data can you get?

Each result is one notice published on TED, from any EU country and some others.

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `noticeId` | TED publication number |
| `noticeType`, `noticeCategory` | TED notice type and a simple category: contract notice, award notice or prior information |
| `publishedAt` | Publication date |
| `title` | Notice title, in English when available |
| `buyerName`, `buyerCountry` | Public buyer, in its own language, and its 3-letter country code |
| `cpvCodes` | CPV product and service codes |
| `contractNatures` | Works, supplies or services |
| `procedure` | Open, restricted, negotiated… |
| `placeOfPerformanceCountries` | Countries where the contract is performed |
| `estimatedValue`, `currency` | Sum of the lot estimates, when all lots use one currency |
| `responseDeadline`, `daysUntilDeadline`, `isOpen` | Latest bid deadline, days left, and whether it is still ahead |
| `noticeUrl`, `pdfUrl` | Links to the official notice |

### How to use it

1. Enter keywords in any EU language, and choose the buyer countries.
2. Optionally filter by CPV code, contract nature, notice type or publication date.
3. Run the Actor, then download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or schedule it to monitor new
   tenders.

### Pricing

This Actor is free to use during its launch. You only pay for Apify platform usage.

### Limits

- Covers notices published on TED. Contracts below the EU publication thresholds are published in
  national journals, not here.
- Results are sorted from the most recent publication date.
- A run returns 10,000 notices at most. To go further, split your search by publication date.
- Contact persons, e-mails, phone numbers and awarded companies are not included, because they can
  identify individuals.
- `estimatedValue` is only filled when the notice gives lot estimates in a single currency. Many
notices do not publish a value.
- Buyer names are given in the buyer's language, and the title in English is the one published by TED.
- Keywords search the full text of the notice, in the language it was written in.

### FAQ

#### Where does the data come from?

From the public search API of TED, the official journal for European public procurement. This Actor
adds filtering, cleaning, computed deadlines and a stable output format.

#### Does the output contain personal data?

No contact fields are requested from the source: no contact persons, e-mails or phone numbers. Each
notice is also checked before being saved, and any notice that seems to contain an e-mail or a phone
number is skipped and logged.

#### How do I look for French contracts?

Use `FRA` as buyer country. French notices below the EU thresholds are not on TED.

#### Why did my run return no results?

Your filters are probably too narrow. Try fewer keywords, remove the CPV code, or widen the dates.

#### Why did my run fail with an "Invalid" message?

The message names the field to fix. Countries use 3 letters (`FRA`), CPV codes use 8 digits
(`90910000`) and dates use the `YYYY-MM-DD` format.

### Keywords
