## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Tech Stack Detector: Find What Any Website Is Built With (Wappalyzer Alternative)

**Bulk-detect the technology stack of any list of websites: CMS, ecommerce platform, JavaScript framework, hosting and CDN, analytics, ad pixels, live chat, payments, cookie consent and more.** It covers 120+ technologies, with versions where the site exposes them and the evidence for every match. No browser is needed, so it's fast and cheap.

### Why use it

- **Lead generation and sales prospecting**: find all Shopify stores, sites running HubSpot, or companies using Intercom in your list
- **Competitor research**: see which analytics, A/B testing and marketing tools competitors use
- **Agencies**: qualify prospects (e.g. old WordPress or jQuery sites, no consent tool)
- **Market research**: measure technology adoption across thousands of domains

### What it detects (examples)

| Category | Technologies |
|---|---|
| CMS / builders | WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Ghost, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, HubSpot CMS, Contentful, Sanity |
| Ecommerce | Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, PrestaShop, Salesforce Commerce Cloud |
| Frameworks | Next.js, Nuxt, React, Vue, Angular, SvelteKit, Astro, Remix, jQuery, Tailwind, Bootstrap |
| Hosting / CDN | Cloudflare, Fastly, CloudFront, Akamai, Vercel, Netlify, GitHub Pages, WP Engine, Kinsta |
| Analytics / ads | GA4, GTM, Segment, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar, Clarity, PostHog, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google Ads |
| Marketing / chat / payments | HubSpot, Marketo, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Intercom, Drift, Zendesk, Crisp, Stripe, PayPal, Paddle |
| Security / consent | reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, Turnstile, OneTrust, Cookiebot, HSTS, HTTP/3 |

### Input

```json
{ "urls": ["allbirds.com", "https://wordpress.org", "vercel.com"] }
```

### Output

```json
{
  "domain": "www.allbirds.com", "status": 200, "technologyCount": 8,
  "technologyNames": ["Shopify", "Tailwind CSS", "Cloudflare", "Google Tag Manager", "Microsoft Clarity", "OneTrust", "HSTS", "HTTP/3"],
  "byCategory": { "Ecommerce": ["Shopify"], "CDN": ["Cloudflare"], "Tag manager": ["Google Tag Manager"], "Analytics": ["Microsoft Clarity"], "Cookie consent": ["OneTrust"] },
  "technologies": [ { "name": "Shopify", "category": "Ecommerce", "version": null, "confidence": "high", "evidence": ["header x-shopid: ...", "html: cdn.shopify.com"] } ]
}
```

### Pricing (pay per event)

**$0.003 per site analyzed** ($3 per 1,000 sites). There is no start fee, and **sites that fail to load are free**.

### Notes

Detection uses the homepage's server HTML, response headers and cookies, without running JavaScript. Tools injected only at runtime (for example tags fired from inside GTM) may not be visible. Sites behind strict bot protection may return an error, and those aren't charged.

# Actor input Schema
