## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Japan Government Tenders (KKJ Portal)

Search **public tender notices from Japan's national ministries, independent administrative agencies and local governments** in one place, and get them as clean JSON.

This Actor uses the official **search API of the 官公需情報ポータルサイト (Kankoju Information Portal)**, run for the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency of Japan: <https://www.kkj.go.jp/s/>. No API key is needed.

### What you get

One row per tender notice:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `publishedDate`, `tenderStartDate`, `openingDate`, `deliveryDeadline` | 2026-10-26 (YYYY-MM-DD) |
| `noticeUrl`, `attachments` | links to the notice on the ordering organization's site |
| `description` | first 500 characters of the notice text (or all of it with *Include full notice text*) |
| `matchedKeywords` | which of your keywords found this notice |
| `source`, `sourceUrl` | the data source and a link to the portal |

Values are kept in Japanese as published; field names are English. Fields the portal does not have for a notice are `null`.

### How to use

- **Keywords**: Japanese words, one search per word, e.g. `清掃` (cleaning), `システム` (IT system), `印刷` (printing), `警備` (security). You can write `清掃 AND 病院` or `印刷 OR 製本` inside one word. Up to 20 words per run.
- **Prefectures**: `Tokyo`, `東京都` or `13`. Empty = all of Japan.
- **Organization name**, **category** (goods / construction / services), **procedure type**, **date range** of the notice.
- If you give no dates, the **last 7 days** are searched.
- At least one keyword, prefecture or organization name is required.

The same notice found by two keywords is returned once, with both keywords in `matchedKeywords`.
The log shows how many notices matched and how many were returned (at most 1000 per keyword — narrow the search to see more).

### Good to know

- The portal adds notices about one day after the ordering organization publishes them, and does not guarantee that every notice is included. Always check the original notice (`noticeUrl`) before you bid.
- To keep the load on the public service small, this Actor sends **one request at a time, 1.5 seconds apart**, and at most **20 requests per run (retries included)**. Searches that cannot run are skipped and shown in the log.
- With *Include full notice text*, one run returns at most 2000 notices: the max results per keyword is lowered up front (for example 3 keywords → 666 each).
- Some fields (e.g. category, deadlines) are not filled for every notice by the portal.
- Notice texts are public documents from the ordering organizations and can include the names of officials (for example the head of the organization who signs the notice). They are returned as published. If you store or reuse them, follow the personal-data laws that apply to you.

### Data source and terms

This Actor uses the search API of the 官公需情報ポータルサイト (<https://www.kkj.go.jp/s/>). Use of the data follows the portal's terms of use (<https://www.kkj.go.jp/s/?tc=1>). The portal and the ordering organizations do not guarantee the content; you use the information at your own responsibility.
This Actor is not made or endorsed by the portal's operator.
