## US NPI Provider Search

Search US healthcare providers using the public CMS NPPES NPI Registry API v2.1. The Actor needs **no upstream API key** and has **$0 upstream API request cost**.

### Search modes

Use any meaningful filter or combination: exact NPI, first/last name, organization, specialty/taxonomy, city, state, ZIP, or provider type. City + state + specialty is only a convenient demo; it is not mandatory.

### What it returns

Each dataset item is normalized to a stable shape: NPI, provider / organization name, type, status, primary taxonomy, all taxonomies, practice and mailing address, extra practice locations, and the canonical CMS provider page.

> Important: issuance of an NPI does **not** ensure or validate that a healthcare provider is licensed or credentialed. Do not market this Actor as a license-verification product.

### Monetization

The Actor is prepared for PAY\_PER\_EVENT and emits the custom event `provider-result` using `Actor.pushData(rows, 'provider-result')` when the current Apify run reports PPE pricing.

Apex Foundry v0.12.0 requests an initial launch price of **$0.0025 per delivered provider result** during automated deployment. Apify account/Publication rules remain authoritative; if the platform rejects monetization, Apex preserves the working private Actor and reports the exact reason.

Synthetic Apify events should be reviewed after first successful monetization so results are not unintentionally double-billed.
