**Where does the data come from?** Google Patents' public index (worldwide coverage: US, EP, WO, JP, CN…).

**How fresh is it?** Google Patents indexes new publications with a ~2 month lag. `daysBack: 90` is the sweet spot for a rolling watch (below 60 days the index often has nothing yet) — you'll see everything, slightly deferred, with zero API keys or credentials.

**Can I filter by jurisdiction?** v1 returns worldwide results (the `publicationNumber` prefix tells you the office: US, EP, WO…). Per-office filters are on the roadmap.

**Is this legal advice or a freedom-to-operate search?** No. It's a monitoring feed of public data; consult a patent attorney for legal questions.
