## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Arbeitsagentur Jobs Scraper – Germany Jobbörse API

Scrape job listings from the **Bundesagentur für Arbeit Jobbörse** (arbeitsagentur.de), Germany's largest job board with **1,000,000+ open jobs, apprenticeships and internships**, using its official public JSON API. No login, no browser, no proxies, so runs are fast and cheap.

Search by **keyword, city or postal code, radius**, and filter by **salary, remote / home office, full-time or part-time, permanent or temporary contract, apprenticeship (Ausbildung), internship, employer** and more. Get **salary ranges**, coordinates, publication dates and, optionally, the **full job description**. Turn on **"only new jobs"** and schedule it daily to get a feed of fresh German job postings.

### What can you use it for?

- **Job market & salary analytics for Germany**: demand per occupation, city or region, published salary ranges (Gehaltsspanne).
- **Job aggregators and niche job boards**: daily import of new German jobs (Pflege, IT, Handwerk, Logistik, Ausbildung...).
- **Recruiting & HR research**: which employers hire which roles, where, and how often.
- **Lead lists of hiring companies**: employer names, locations, occupations (company data only, no personal data).
- **Alerts**: "new Data Engineer jobs in Berlin", "new Ausbildung Elektroniker in München" straight to your sheet, Slack or webhook.

### Features

- Official Arbeitsagentur Jobsuche API (`rest.arbeitsagentur.de`), the same one the arbeitsagentur.de website uses.
- Several keywords in one run, de-duplicated.
- Filters: location + radius, published within N days, offer type (job / Ausbildung / Praktikum / self-employment), working time (full-time, part-time, shift/night/weekend, home office, minijob), contract (befristet / unbefristet), employer, occupational field (Berufsfeld), exclude temp agencies (Zeitarbeit) and private recruiters, disability-friendly jobs.
- **Salary filter**: only jobs with a published salary, or a minimum annual salary (hourly and monthly salaries are annualised).
- **Full description** on demand, with e-mail addresses and phone numbers removed (GDPR-friendly).
- **Monitoring mode**: outputs only jobs you have not seen in previous runs.
- Clean **English field names**, ready for Excel, Google Sheets, JSON, CSV, or the Apify API.

### Input example

```json
{
  "keywords": ["Data Engineer", "Pflegefachkraft"],
  "location": "Berlin",
  "radiusKm": 25,
  "publishedWithinDays": 7,
  "workTime": ["fullTime", "homeOffice"],
  "onlyWithSalary": false,
  "includeDescription": true,
  "onlyNewJobs": true,
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

Leave `keywords` empty to get **all** jobs for a location and filters.

### Output example

```json
  "id": "10000-1201234567-S",
  "title": "Softwareentwickler (m/w/d) Java",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-27T11:12:13+00:00",
  "source": "arbeitsagentur.de"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result, no monthly fee:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Job listing (`job`) | **$0.40 per 1,000 jobs** |
| Job listing + full description (`job-details`) | **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** |

Example: 10,000 Berlin jobs with salary and location ≈ $4. A daily "new jobs only" monitor typically costs a few cents per day. Set a **maximum cost per run** in the run options to stay in control.

### Tips & limits

- The API returns at most ~10,000 results per search. For more, split by keyword, location or `publishedWithinDays` (e.g. daily monitoring with `publishedWithinDays: 1`).
- Many employers publish no salary: use `onlyWithSalary` for salary studies.
- `isExternalListing: true` means the job is mirrored from an employer or partner site; `applyUrl` points there.
- Data comes from the public Jobbörse and reflects what employers publish there.

### Legal & privacy

This Actor reads the public Jobbörse API without login. It collects **job and company information only**. Contact persons are not exported as fields, and with `redactContactData` (default on) e-mail addresses and phone numbers are removed from description texts. Names can still appear inside free-text descriptions written by employers. You are responsible for using the data in line with GDPR and the terms of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit. Not affiliated with the Bundesagentur für Arbeit.

### FAQ

**Is there an official Arbeitsagentur API?** Yes. The Jobsuche API is public and documented by the community project [bundesAPI/jobsuche-api](https://github.com/bundesAPI/jobsuche-api). This Actor wraps it with pagination, filters, salary normalisation, monitoring and clean output.

**Can I get apprenticeships (Ausbildungsplätze) only?** Yes. Set `offerType` to `apprenticeship`.

**Can I export to Excel / Google Sheets?** Yes. Every dataset can be downloaded as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML, or pushed through Apify integrations (Google Sheets, Make, Zapier, n8n, webhooks).
