## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Scraper – Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby & Workday

Get **every open job straight from company career sites**. Give a **company name** ("Stripe", "OpenAI", "Doctolib"), a **domain** or a **career-page URL**. The Actor detects which applicant tracking system (ATS) the company uses and returns clean, structured job postings.

Supported ATS: **Greenhouse, Lever (US & EU), Ashby, Workday, Workable, Recruitee, Personio**.

It uses the **official public job-board APIs** these ATS provide for embedding jobs on career pages. No login, no browser, no proxies, so it is fast (hundreds of companies in minutes) and cheap: **$1 per 1,000 jobs**.

### Why use it

- **Fresher than job boards**: jobs come from the company's own ATS, often days before they reach LinkedIn or Indeed, and they disappear when the role is closed.
- **One schema for 7 ATS**: title, department, team, location(s), country, remote, employment type, salary (when published), posted date, job URL, apply URL, full description.
- **Company name → ATS auto-detection**: no need to know if a company is on Greenhouse or Ashby. Paste a URL for Workday or custom setups.
- **Filters**: title keywords (include / exclude), keywords in the description (e.g. "visa sponsorship", "Python"), locations, remote only, departments, posted within N days, max jobs per company.
- **Monitoring**: `onlyNewJobs` returns only jobs not seen in previous runs. Schedule it daily and connect a webhook, Slack, Google Sheets, Make or Zapier.
- **Per-company report**: a `SUMMARY` record says which ATS was found and how many jobs each company has.

### Use cases

- **Job aggregators & niche job boards** (remote, AI/ML, climate, EU startups...): build your feed from hundreds of companies.
- **Job seekers & career coaches**: watch your target companies and get only new matching roles.
- **Sales intelligence / market research**: who is hiring, for which teams and where (hiring signals, company-level data only).
- **Recruiting & talent intelligence**: competitor hiring, open headcount by department and location.
- **HR & compensation analytics**: published salary ranges (Ashby, Lever, Recruitee).

```
### Pricing
**$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** (pay per result). Companies with no matching jobs cost nothing, and filtered-out jobs are not charged. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options.
### Notes & limits
- Name detection tries common slugs (`hugging face` → `huggingface`, `hugging-face`). If the company uses a custom slug, another ATS, or an in-house career site, paste the career-page URL. The `SUMMARY` record shows what was found.
- Workday sites are read 20 jobs per request, and descriptions need one request per job, so large Workday sites take a few minutes.
- Salary is returned only when the company publishes it in the ATS.
- Workday "posted" dates in listings are relative ("Posted 3 Days Ago"); exact dates come from the job detail.
### Legal & privacy
Only **job postings published publicly by employers** are collected, through the ATS public posting endpoints. No candidate data and no recruiter personal data are exported, and e-mail addresses are removed from descriptions by default. Use the data in line with GDPR and each site's terms. Not affiliated with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, Recruitee or Personio.
### FAQ
**Do I need API keys?** No. These job-board endpoints are public.
**Can I monitor 500 companies every day?** Yes. Put them in `companies`, turn on `onlyNewJobs`, and schedule the Actor. You pay only for new jobs.
**Which ATS does company X use?** Run it with the company name and check the `ats` field or the `SUMMARY` record.
# Actor input Schema
## `companies` (type: `array`):
One per line. A company name or domain ("Stripe", "notion.so") is auto-detected on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee and Personio. Or paste a career-site URL: boards.greenhouse.io/acme, jobs.lever.co/acme, jobs.ashbyhq.com/acme, apply.workable.com/acme, acme.recruitee.com, acme.jobs.personio.de, acme.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/Careers (Workday needs the URL).
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Keep jobs whose title contains any of these (case-insensitive), e.g. "engineer", "data", "sales". Empty = all jobs.
## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):
Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. "senior", "intern".
## `searchInDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Match keywords in the job description too (e.g. "Python", "visa sponsorship").
## `locations` (type: `array`):
Keep jobs whose location or country contains any of these, e.g. "London", "Germany", "Remote".
## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):
Keep only jobs marked remote by the ATS or with "remote" in the location.
## `departments` (type: `array`):
Keep jobs whose department or team contains any of these, e.g. "Engineering", "Marketing".
## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):
Only jobs posted in the last N days (when the ATS publishes a date).
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Maximum number of jobs to save across all companies.
## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):
0 or empty = no limit.
## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Full description as plain text (for Workday this needs one extra request per job).
## `removeEmails` (type: `boolean`):
Strips e-mail addresses from description text. No recruiter personal data is collected.
## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):
Remember jobs already returned for this exact input and output only new ones. Ideal with a daily schedule + webhook.
## `monitorId` (type: `string`):
Name for the new-jobs memory, so it survives input changes.
## `platforms` (type: `array`):
Which ATS to probe when you give a company name instead of a URL.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
How many companies to fetch at the same time.
