## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France Restaurant Hygiene Ratings API (Alim'confiance)

**Every official hygiene inspection of French restaurants and food businesses, with SIRET and GPS.** Find the establishments rated « à améliorer » near you the day they are published, or add hygiene ratings to your app or map.

**No code needed:** click *Start*, then download the results as **Excel, CSV or JSON**, or send them to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or n8n. Developers can call it as an **API** or schedule it daily.

### Details

Get the **official hygiene inspection results of French restaurants, bakeries, butchers, caterers, canteens, supermarket counters and food plants** — the data behind the Alim'confiance smiley ratings — as clean JSON: rating, inspection date, establishment name, SIRET, activity, address and GPS.

### Who uses it

- **Hygiene consultants and HACCP trainers**: find establishments rated "A améliorer" or "A corriger de manière urgente" in your area, the day the result is published.
- **Food suppliers, equipment and cleaning companies**: build lists of active food businesses by activity and area.
- **Delivery platforms, review sites and insurers**: enrich restaurant listings or risk scores with the official rating.
- **Journalists and local media**: map inspection results by city.

### What you get

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `inspectionDate`, `inspectionId` | Date and official inspection number |
| `rating`, `ratingCode`, `ratingLabel` | `very-good` (1), `good` (2), `to-improve` (3), `urgent` (4), with the official French label |
| `overallAssessment`, `followUp`, `inspectionContext` | Assessment, follow-up action, planned inspection or re-check |
| `name`, `legalName`, `brand`, `siret`, `siren` | Establishment identity |
| `activity`, `activityType`, `destination`, `sector` | What the establishment does |
| `address`, `geo` | Street, postal code, city, INSEE code, département, region, latitude/longitude |
| `approvalNumber` | Sanitary approval number of food plants, when relevant |

### Examples

**Establishments to be corrected urgently in Gironde in the last 90 days**

```json
{ "ratings": ["urgent", "to-improve"], "departments": ["33"], "lastNDays": 90 }
```

**All inspected bakeries in Paris**

```json
{ "activities": ["boulangerie"], "postalCodes": ["750"], "lastNDays": 365 }
```

**Weekly alert on poor results for a hygiene consultant**

```json
{ "ratings": ["to-improve", "urgent"], "departments": ["33", "24", "47"], "monitorNewInspections": true, "monitorKey": "sud-ouest", "lastNDays": 30 }
```

### Pricing

Pay per result: you pay for each inspection returned, nothing for those filtered out. In monitor mode you only pay for new inspections. Set a maximum cost per run to cap spending.

### Good to know

- The official dataset covers about the last 12 months of inspections and is refreshed weekly.
- By default only the latest inspection of each establishment is returned (`latestPerEstablishment`).
- A rating reflects the situation on the inspection day.
