## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Lever & Greenhouse Jobs Scraper (Company Career Pages)

Get **all open jobs from company career pages hosted on Lever and Greenhouse** in one run and one clean schema. Paste career page URLs (or company IDs) for as many companies as you like. The Actor reads the platforms' **public job board APIs**, so it needs **no login, no proxy and no browser**. Runs are fast, cheap and stable.

> Unofficial tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Lever, Inc. or Greenhouse Software, Inc. "Lever" and "Greenhouse" are trademarks of their respective owners.

### What you get

One row per job (`type = job`), the same fields for both platforms:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `platform`, `company` | `lever`, `leverdemo` |
| `title` | `Customer Success Manager` |
| `location`, `country` | `Atlanta, Georgia`, `US` |
| `department`, `team` | `Customer Success` |
| `employmentType`, `workplaceType` | `Regular Full Time`, `hybrid` |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryInterval` | `85000`, `175000`, `USD`, `per-year-salary` (when published) |
| `url`, `applyUrl` | job page and application link |
| `publishedAt`, `updatedAt` | ISO 8601 dates |
| `descriptionText` (+ optional `descriptionHtml`) | job description with emails and phone numbers removed |

Rows of type `error` explain a company that could not be fetched (for example, a wrong board name).

### Why this Actor

- **Lever and Greenhouse in one schema.** Mix both platforms in one input list.
- **Paste any career page URL.** `jobs.lever.co/acme`, `boards.greenhouse.io/acme`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/acme`, embed links, or simply `lever:acme` / `greenhouse:acme`.
- **Filters.** Title keywords, location, department, and `postedSince` for daily "new jobs" monitoring.
- **Salary ranges** when the company publishes them.
- **Cheap.** Pay only for job rows saved to your dataset.

### Input example

```json
{
    "companies": [
        "https://jobs.lever.co/leverdemo",
        "greenhouse:airbnb",
        "https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/acme"
    ],
    "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data"],
    "locations": ["Remote", "London"],
    "postedSince": "2026-10-01",
    "includeDescription": true,
    "descriptionHtml": false,
    "maxJobsPerCompany": 0
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Job row | $0.001 ($1 per 1,000 jobs) |
| Company board scanned | $0.0005 per company that was found and read ($0.05 per 100 companies) |
| Actor start (Apify standard event) | $0.00005 per run |

Example: 100 companies with keyword filters that keep 300 jobs cost about $0.30 + $0.05 = $0.35.

Jobs removed by your filters and error rows are free. Companies that could not be found or fetched (error rows) are not charged. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Limits and notes

- Only **published, public** jobs are returned. Internal or unlisted jobs are not available.
- Greenhouse EU-hosted boards are not supported yet.
- Requests to each platform are sent one at a time with at least 1 second between them, with retries and backoff.
- No personal data fields are collected (no recruiter or hiring manager fields). Email addresses and phone numbers are removed from descriptions.

### FAQ

**Where do I find the company ID?** It is the first part of the career page path: `https://jobs.lever.co/acme` → `acme`, `https://boards.greenhouse.io/acme` → `acme`. You can paste the full URL.

**What if I only know the company name?** Try the bare name (e.g. `airbnb`). The Actor checks Greenhouse first, then Lever. If it is not found, an error row tells you.

**Is it legal?** The Actor only reads job postings that companies publish through Lever's and Greenhouse's public job board APIs. Descriptions may still mention people by name; you are responsible for how you use the data (e.g. GDPR or other privacy rules in your jurisdiction).

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line. Career page URLs (https://jobs.lever.co/acme, https://boards.greenhouse.io/acme, https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/acme) or prefixed IDs (lever:acme, lever-eu:acme, greenhouse:acme). A bare ID like acme is tried on Greenhouse first, then Lever.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. engineer, data, sales.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose location contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. London, Remote, Germany.

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose department or team contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive).

## `postedSince` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keep only jobs first published (Greenhouse) or created (Lever) on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). Useful for daily monitoring of new openings.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the job description (plain text, plus HTML if selected below). Email addresses and phone numbers are removed from descriptions.

## `descriptionHtml` (type: `boolean`):

Also keep the original description HTML (with emails and phone numbers removed). Off = plain text only, smaller rows.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs (after filters) for each company. 0 = no limit.

}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `results` (type: `string`):
All dataset items: job postings and per-company error rows.
