## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bluesky Scraper: Posts, Search & Profiles

Scrape Bluesky posts by keyword, hashtag or profile. Each post comes with its text, author, likes, reposts, replies, quotes, hashtags, links, images and timestamps. Profiles come with follower, following and post counts. No Bluesky account or login needed.

### What you can scrape

- **Search results**: every post matching a keyword, phrase or `#hashtag`, newest first, with no cap on how far back you go. Bluesky search syntax such as `from:handle` works too.
- **Profile posts**: everything a profile posted, with or without replies, or only posts with media.
- **Profile details**: display name, bio, avatar, followers, following, post count and join date.

### Quick start

1. Add a search query such as `artificial intelligence` or a profile such as `bsky.app`.
2. Set how many posts you want per query or profile.
3. Click **Start**. Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them through the API.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search queries | Keywords, phrases or hashtags to search for |
| Profiles | Handles, DIDs or `bsky.app/profile/...` URLs |
| Max posts per query or profile | Stops each source at this many posts |
| Search sort order | Latest first (no cap) or Top posts (first 100 per query) |
| Posted on or after / before | Date window |
| Language | Two-letter code for search, e.g. `en` |
| Profile posts to include | Posts only, posts and replies, or posts with media |
| Include profile details | Adds one profile record per profile |

### Output example

```json
{
  "type": "post",
  "url": "https://bsky.app/profile/example.bsky.social/post/3kxyz",
  "text": "Shipping our new model today #ai",
  "createdAt": "2026-10-19T14:15:36.101Z",
  "authorHandle": "example.bsky.social",
  "authorDisplayName": "Example",
  "likeCount": 42,
  "repostCount": 7,
  "replyCount": 3,
  "quoteCount": 1,
  "hashtags": ["ai"],
  "links": ["https://example.com/launch"],
  "images": [],
  "isReply": false,
  "source": "search",
  "sourceValue": "artificial intelligence"
}
```

### Pricing

You pay per result saved. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the scraper stops cleanly when it reaches it.

### Use cases

- Brand and keyword monitoring on Bluesky
- Collecting posts for research, sentiment analysis or AI training sets
- Tracking competitors, journalists or communities as they move from X to Bluesky
- Exporting your own profile's posts

### Notes

Data comes from Bluesky's public AppView, the same source the Bluesky app uses for logged-out visitors. Only public posts and profiles are returned.
