## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper: every open job from any myworkdayjobs.com careers site

Workday runs the careers sites of most large employers: NVIDIA, Salesforce, Pfizer, Walmart, Adobe and thousands
more, all on `*.myworkdayjobs.com`. Paste a careers site URL and get every open job as clean JSON: title, location
(all of them, for multi-location postings), country, employment type, job id, job and apply link, the exact
posting date and the full description.

**$1.00 per 1,000 jobs.** Jobs your filters drop are free, sites that can't be read are free, and in monitor mode
you only pay for jobs you haven't seen before.

- **The careers site's own JSON.** Workday careers pages load their listings from a JSON endpoint; the Actor reads
  that, politely (at most 4 requests at a time per site, and only where the site's robots.txt allows it). No
  browser, no proxies, no logins. A 2,000-job site comes back in a couple of minutes.
- **Exact dates.** Workday's list only says "Posted 30+ Days Ago"; the Actor takes the real date from the job page.
- **Monitor mode:** turn on *Only new jobs*, schedule it daily, and each run returns just the postings that appeared
  since the last one. Hiring signals for sales, recruiting and market research.
- **Filters before you pay:** title keywords, location keywords, remote only, posted within N days, max per site.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `companies` | Workday careers site URLs, one per line |
| `titleKeywords` | Keep jobs whose title contains any of these (e.g. `engineer`, `sales`) |
| `locationKeywords` | Keep jobs whose location/country contains any of these (e.g. `Germany`, `Remote`) |
| `remoteOnly` | Only remote jobs |
| `postedWithinDays` | Only jobs published in the last N days |
| `onlyNewJobs` | Monitor mode: skip jobs returned by earlier runs |
| `monitorName` | Separate memory per watch list in monitor mode (default `default`) |
| `includeDescription` | Full description as HTML and text (default on) |
| `maxJobsPerCompany` | Cap per site (0 = all) |

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site"
  ],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
  "locationKeywords": ["germany"]
}
```

A Workday careers URL has three parts the Actor needs: the company (`nvidia`), the data-centre host (`wd5`) and the
site name (`NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`). Open the company's careers page, click through to the job list and copy the
address; any page under the site works, with or without a locale like `/en-US/`.

### Output

One row per job:

```json
{
  "company": "nvidia",
  "boardSlug": "nvidia.wd5/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "jobId": "JR2027112",
  "title": "Senior Solution Architect, MLOps - AI Factory",
  "location": "Germany, Remote",
  "allLocations": ["Germany, Remote", "Czechia, Remote", "Hungary, Remote"],
  "country": "DE",
  "employmentType": "Full time",
  "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/...",
  "applyUrl": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/...",
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-21",
  "descriptionText": "NVIDIA is looking for ...",
  "descriptionHtml": "<p>NVIDIA is looking for ...</p>",
  "input": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-22T22:10:06+00:00"
}
```

Fields Workday doesn't publish are `null` (salary appears only where the company writes it into the description).
A URL that isn't a Workday site gives one row with `error` and costs nothing. Run statistics are in the `STATS`
record of the run's key-value store.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.001 per job returned** ($1.00 per 1,000). Platform usage is included. Nothing else is charged:
not the run start, not filtered jobs, not sites that couldn't be read.

### Use it from an AI agent

The Actor works as a tool through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=jordan-belfort/workday-jobs-scraper):
an agent can ask "what is NVIDIA hiring for in Germany?" and get structured rows back in one call.

### FAQ

#### Is there a Workday jobs API?

Not a public one. Workday careers sites load their listings from an internal JSON endpoint
(`/wday/cxs/<company>/<site>/jobs`). This Actor reads it and the job detail pages for you and returns one schema.

#### Can I search by company name instead of URL?

Not yet: the host (`wd1` to `wd12`...) and site name can't be guessed from a name. Copy the URL once; with monitor
mode on, you never need it again.

#### Other ATS?

For Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio (and Workday) in one schema, with
lookup by company name, use [Company Jobs API](https://apify.com/jordan-belfort/ats-jobs-api).

### Limits and honesty

- Workday serves at most 2,000 postings per careers site and query; bigger employers get their newest 2,000 (the
  run log says so).
- Built and maintained by Jordan Belfort. Issues and requests: the Actor's Issues tab.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line: the careers site URL, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite or https://wd1.myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/wf/WellsFargoJobs. Any page under that site works; the language part (/en-US/) is optional.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. engineer, data, sales. Empty keeps all. Filtered-out jobs are free.

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location or country contains one of these, e.g. Berlin, Germany, London, Remote. Empty keeps all.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the ATS marks as remote (or whose location says Remote).

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

0 keeps all. Jobs without a publish date are kept.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers job IDs per board in a key-value store named workday-jobs-seen in your account. Schedule the Actor daily and get only new postings, so you pay only for new jobs.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Only for monitor mode. Runs with the same name share their memory of seen jobs; give each separate watch list its own name.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Full description as HTML and plain text. Turn off for smaller, faster output.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

0 means no limit. Caps the jobs (and the cost) per company after filters. The form starts at 50 so a first test run stays small; set 0 for every job.
