# France Company Data (`jovian_zabra_nk5/france-company-data`) Actor

French company registry data from the official government API (SIRENE + RNE): search by name, SIREN, NAF code or département — executives, headcount bands, revenue (CA), HQ addresses. The same registry data Pappers resells, via free official API. No login, no API key, no proxy.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France Company Data (SIRENE) — Free Registry API

French company registry data from the **official government API** (`recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr`) — the same SIRENE + RNE data that paid services like Pappers resell. **No login, no API key, no proxy.**

### What you get

One dataset record per company:

- **Identity**: SIREN, legal name, size category (PME/ETI/GE), creation & closure dates, status
- **Activity**: NAF/APE codes (current + NAF25), employer flag, collective agreements (IDCC)
- **HQ**: full address, postal code, city, département, région, GPS coordinates, SIRET
- **People**: registered executives/dirigeants (name, role, birth year) + count
- **Money**: latest revenue (CA), net income, and full finances history by year
- **Footprint**: number of establishments (total + open), headcount band

### Use cases

- **Lead lists**: every software company (NAF `62.01Z`) in Paris with 50+ employees
- **Enrichment**: SIREN → full company profile for CRM/data warehouses
- **Market research**: all companies in a NAF code × département, with revenue
- **Executive search**: companies where a given person is a registered dirigeant

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `searchQuery` | Name/keyword search (e.g. `carrefour`) |
| `siren` | Exact 9-digit SIREN lookup |
| `nafCode` | NAF/APE activity filter, comma-separated (`62.01Z`, `56.10A`) |
| `departement` | Département filter, comma-separated (`75`, `69`) |
| `companyCategory` | `PME` / `ETI` / `GE` |
| `executiveName` | Find companies run by this person |
| `minRevenueEur` | Keep companies with CA ≥ value |
| `maxResults` | Cap records (API caps any query at 10,000) |

Provide at least one filter. Filters combine (NAF + département + category…).

### Notes

- Revenue (`ca`) comes from company filings; many small companies don't publish → `null`.
- Headcount is an INSEE band (`10-19`, `50-99`…), not an exact count.
- Polite rate limiting built in (0.3 s/page + retry/backoff on 429/5xx).

**MCP/agent-friendly**: flat JSON, stable field names, `null` for missing — no scraping fragility.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

Company name or keyword to search (e.g. 'carrefour', 'boulangerie lyon'). Can be combined with filters.

## `siren` (type: `string`):

Exact 9-digit SIREN number to look up one company.

## `nafCode` (type: `string`):

Filter by NAF/APE activity code, comma-separated for several (e.g. '62.01Z' software, '56.10A' restaurants, '68.31Z' real estate agencies). Full list: https://www.insee.fr/fr/information/2120875

## `departement` (type: `string`):

Filter by French département code, comma-separated (e.g. '75' Paris, '69' Rhône, '13' Bouches-du-Rhône).

## `companyCategory` (type: `string`):

INSEE size category: PME, ETI or GE (grandes entreprises). Empty = all.

## `executiveName` (type: `string`):

Find companies where this person is a registered dirigeant/executive (last name, e.g. 'musk').

## `minRevenueEur` (type: `number`):

Keep only companies with latest reported revenue (CA) at or above this value in EUR. 0 = no filter.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of company records returned (25 per API page; the API caps any single query at 10,000 results).

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "minRevenueEur": 0,
  "maxResults": 100
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `companies` (type: `string`):

One record per French company matching the query/filters, with SIREN, legal name, NAF code, HQ address, executives, headcount band, revenue and finances history.
