## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Hiring & Pay Disclosure Sample Brief

> **Unofficial** — independent tool, **not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Greenhouse or Lever**. It reads only publicly visible pages. Support, reliability guarantees and the full disclaimer are at the bottom of this page.

Monitor exact employer boards on Greenhouse and Lever in one workflow. Get a complete public posting count, distinct location-label count, and a deterministic sample of structured salary disclosure. This is not employee headcount, hiring growth, annual salary estimates or a legal compliance assessment.

### Input

`boards` is required: 1–3 exact entries such as `greenhouse:airbnb` and `lever:spotify`. No arbitrary URLs. Duplicates are removed in input order. `salarySampleSize` is 1–10, default 3. `maxItems` is 1–3, default 1. The available event budget and maxItems select a prefix of boards before requests; all input entries validate first.

### Output

One `ats_hiring_pay_disclosure_brief` row per selected board. `provider` and `boardToken` identify the requested public board. `publishedPostingCount` counts all unique posting IDs, with `listingComplete:true` only after pagination/count checks. `distinctLocationCount` excludes blank labels and does not infer remote work. `salarySampleSizeRequested`, `salarySampledPostingCount`, `salaryDisclosedPostingCount`, `salarySamplePostingIds` and `salarySampleCurrencies` make the salary sample observable. `salaryDisclosureRatePercent` uses sampled posts as denominator; `salarySampleCoveragePercent` uses all listed posts. `hasPublishedPostings:false` explicitly reports a valid empty board; both percentages are then omitted.

`sampleMethod` sorts Greenhouse IDs numerically and Lever UUIDs lexically. This sample is not representative and is not ordered by recency. `disclosureMeaning` states that absence of structured fields is not proof no salary appears in job text. Multiple currencies are listed without conversion or annualization. No pay amounts are returned. `sourceUrl`, `fetchedAt` and `reason` identify provenance and result meaning.

### Limits

Only official public GET endpoints and live robots checks. At most 1000 postings per board, 65 HTTP requests per run, 1-second request spacing, 2 MiB per list/detail response, 256 KiB per robots response, 30-second HTTP timeout, 180-second run cap and 256 MB memory. Greenhouse list totals must match unique IDs. Lever uses 50-post pages with an explicit short/empty final page; no truncated whole-board count is returned. Source changes during pagination may fail validation, but undetectable churn cannot be ruled out. All selected boards and sample records validate before delivery or charge. A later output-write failure can leave already delivered billable rows. No retries after 403/429, proxy, browser, paid source, private ATS API or application submission.

### Pricing

The single primary event `hiring-brief-created` costs $0.01 per delivered employer-board brief, with no actor-start or secondary event. The price follows DR-0022; publication still requires the private cloud and independent review gates.

### Privacy

Only counts, public board tokens, sample posting IDs and currency codes are returned. Job descriptions, salary blurbs, titles, applicant fields, hiring contacts, emails, phone numbers, candidate data and raw responses are not stored. This Actor does not rank candidates or identify people.

### Sources and terms

Public [Greenhouse Job Board API](https://docs.greenhouse.io/job-board.html) and [Lever Postings API](https://github.com/lever/postings-api). Only the source-approved public GET paths are used; no private customer data. The source SaaS terms contain restrictions whose applicability to public job data is recorded in the scout. This independent tool claims no affiliation or blanket legal permission.

### If something goes wrong

- **Wrong number or a failed run?** Open a ticket on the **Issues** tab. I read every one and reply within 2 business days (Japan time).
- **You never get a fake "empty" result.** If the site can't be read, the run fails and says so.
One delivered employer-board brief is one billable event, including a validated no-published-postings result. Source failures before delivery have no event charge; rows delivered before a later write failure remain billable.
- **Checked every week.** An automatic test runs this tool weekly; if the site changes, I fix it.
- **Public pages only.** No login, no personal data, and it goes easy on the site.
