## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## GitHub Trending Python & TypeScript Daily Radar

Find today’s ranked Python and TypeScript repositories in one run for daily developer-tool scouting and newsletter research. This daily feed includes the original source rank, public repository URL, contact-scrubbed short description, total stars/forks, stars gained today and a calculated growth percentage. Growth describes stars, not adoption quality or future performance.

### Input

Choose `python`, `typescript`, or both (default both, including an empty input object) and 1–20 rows per language (default 10). Only the no-query daily pages are supported. Weekly/monthly, arbitrary URLs, spoken-language and topic filters are unavailable.

### Output

One dataset row per delivered repository, in requested-language and source-rank order. A valid page can have fewer than the requested maximum. No row is emitted when a requested page is empty or malformed; the whole run fails without charge. The same repository may appear on both language pages and keeps two source-context rows.

### Pricing

$0.0008 per delivered `trending-repository-created` row on FREE, no start or secondary event, maximum 40 charged rows ($0.032).

### Limits

Complete all selected pages before output. At most one robots GET and two fixed daily-page GETs, at least two seconds apart, 2 MiB/body, 20-second request timeout, 90-second run timeout and 256 MB. No proxy, browser, token, paid API or repository-detail enrichment.

### Privacy

Source: public GitHub Trending pages. The Actor checks current robots rules and accepted exact paths at run time and fails if access changes. Repository identity is retained; descriptions are scrubbed for contact-like text or emptied. Contributor names, profiles, avatars, emails, issues, READMEs and raw HTML are not collected. GitHub does not endorse this Actor.
