## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## SEC Annual Cash Conversion Brief

For each exact company CIK, compare revenue and operating cash flow in the latest eligible SEC 10-K and its prior fiscal year. Use the result for periodic investment or vendor due diligence: did revenue increase while cash generated by operations declined? It is a factual screening aid, not an investment recommendation or an assertion about earnings quality.

### Input

Provide 1–5 exact numeric company CIKs in `ciks` (Apple `0000320193`, Microsoft `0000789019`). The Actor normalizes leading zeros to 10 digits and requires the source CIK to match. The default contains both Apple and Microsoft. Ticker and company-name search are not supported. Only US-GAAP 10-K annual data with two complete years and the required tagged concepts is supported. An unsupported or incomplete CIK fails explicitly without a dataset row or charge.

### Output

One row per usable CIK. The row gives two same-filing fiscal years of USD revenue and operating cash flow, year-over-year percentages, operating-cash-flow-to-revenue percentages, a `revenueUpCashflowDown` flag, exact SEC accession/date, source URL, and observation time. Both facts must share the same accession and exact start/end dates for each full-year period. A year is 330–390 days. The same latest 10-K supplies both years so restatements do not silently mix sources. Operating cash-flow change divides the year-over-year difference by the absolute prior value, preserving the direction of change when prior cash flow was negative. A prior operating cash flow of zero makes its change rate undefined, so the field is omitted; the cash-flow-to-revenue ratios remain defined because revenue must be positive. No earnings-quality score or investment advice is provided.

### Limits

Official SEC companyfacts JSON only, one request per CIK, at most five CIKs and seven total HTTP requests including robots and one bounded retry, 180 seconds, 6 MiB per response, 256 MB memory. Requests use a declared User-Agent and at least two seconds between requests. No proxy, browser, login, paid key, bulk download, or HTML crawl. The Actor rejects redirect, source block, rate limit, malformed/missing facts, unmatched periods, or a zero-row result before charging. The SEC can revise XBRL facts; each run is a fresh snapshot.

### Privacy

Only a company CIK/name, annual aggregate financial facts, SEC accession and source URL are returned. Person names, contact details, addresses, filing text, and raw source JSON are excluded. SEC is the data source and does not endorse this Actor.

### Price

One primary `annual-cash-conversion-created` event costs $0.01 per delivered usable CIK row, so a 1–5 CIK run costs $0.01–$0.05. No start event or charge for failed/incomplete rows.
