## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Workable Jobs — Deduplicated Multi-Board Export

> Unofficial independent tool, not affiliated with Workable or employers.

Export all public Workable vacancies from a small employer watchlist into unique job rows with full sanitized descriptions and every visible published location. Use Apify schedules to compare stable shortcodes between snapshots.

### Input

`boardSlugs` accepts 1–3 exact public Workable employer slugs, default `workmotion` and `remotepass`; URLs are not accepted. `keywords` defaults to `[]` and filters case-insensitive published titles when supplied. `maxJobs` defaults to 30 (1–100) and `maxJobsPerBoard` to 20 (1–100). All selected boards are inspected even if output is capped.

### Output

Each row is one unique Workable shortcode. Visible location variants are merged into `locations`, so an employer posting to several countries is charged once. Source locations marked hidden are omitted; a job with only hidden locations has an empty `locations` list. Output includes board/company, public title, Workable remote flag, published date, department, sanitized full description, original link, board source count, raw location-row count, matched count and fetch time. `coverageComplete` and `outputLimited` distinguish capped exports. Snapshots across employers are not atomic; source dates are not inferred as newly posted.

### Limits and price

Direct anonymous `apply.workable.com/api/v1/widget/accounts/{slug}?details=true` GET only, up to three boards and 100 unique jobs, 8 MiB per board, one `apply.workable.com/robots.txt` GET plus at most three direct board GETs, 1 s minimum spacing, redirects disabled, 180 seconds, 256 MB. A source structure change, malformed/empty description, 403, 429, timeout or oversize fails without a paid empty result. A valid no-match search fails explicitly without primary events. Comparable Store Actors already offer multi-board descriptions and location deduplication; this Actor’s proposed switching reason is its lower listed row price, subject to cloud cost validation.

### Pricing

$0.0005 per delivered unique job. Empty results are not charged; there is no start, duplicate location, detail, or summary fee.

### Privacy

Only public posting facts are exported. Descriptions become plain text with email and phone contacts screened; no candidate data, applicant questions/forms, recruiter contacts, arbitrary metadata, cookies or employer credentials. Original public job URLs are output only, never fetched. Source attribution is retained.

# Actor input Schema

## `boardSlugs` (type: `array`):

One to three exact public Workable employer slugs, such as workmotion and remotepass; no URLs.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Optional one to five case-insensitive phrases; any phrase in the published job title matches. Empty includes all jobs.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Global cap for unique full-description posting rows, 1–100. Default 30; a lower cap is reported as partial coverage.

## `maxJobsPerBoard` (type: `integer`):

Per-board unique-job cap, 1–100. Default 20 so both example boards can appear.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "boardSlugs": [
    "workmotion",
    "remotepass"
  ],
  "keywords": [],
  "maxJobs": 30,
  "maxJobsPerBoard": 20
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per delivered unique public posting.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("jpmarketdata/workable-multi-board-job-export").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
