from $1.20 / 1,000 job listings

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Remote OK Jobs Scraper (RemoteOK)

Every current Remote OK job listing in a clean dataset, read from the official Remote OK public API. Each job comes normalized: title, company, location, remote region and countries, employment type, category, tags or skills, salary (min, max, currency, period) when stated, posting date, and the link to the original listing.

**USD 1.50 per 1,000 jobs.** You pay only for the rows in your results. Jobs removed by your filters are free.

### What people use it for

- **Job alerts.** Schedule a daily run with your keywords and locations, and send new jobs to Slack, email or Google Sheets through Make, Zapier or n8n.
- **Niche job boards and newsletters.** Fill a board or a weekly email with fresh, filtered remote jobs that link back to the original post.
- **Hiring signals.** See which companies are hiring remotely, for which roles and regions.
- **Salary benchmarking.** Compare stated salary ranges by role and region.

### Sample output

### How to use it

1. Optionally add **Keywords** (for example `python`, `designer`), **Locations** (for example `Canada`, `USA`, `Europe`) and **Posted within days**.
2. Click **Start**. Each run reads about 100 (the latest jobs) jobs and returns those that match.
3. Export as CSV, JSON or Excel, or connect the dataset to your tools through the Apify API.

Want Remote OK plus other boards in one de-duplicated feed? Use the **Remote Jobs Aggregator** from the same developer.

### Pricing

| What | Price |
|---|---|
| Job in your results | USD 0.0015 (USD 1.50 per 1,000) |
| Jobs filtered out | Free |

### Attribution and fair use

Remote OK asks that you link back to the listing and mention Remote OK as the source, and not use its logo. Every row keeps `sourceUrl` and an `attribution` line; keep them when you show the job. The actor reads the source at most once per hour per account and reuses that copy for runs within the hour.

The actor identifies itself: every request carries the user agent `Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; remoteok-jobs/1.0; +https://apify.com/JTPalms/remoteok-jobs)`, with plain request headers. It never pretends to be a browser.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** It uses the public API or feed that Remote OK publishes for reuse, keeps the attribution the site asks for, does not log in and collects no candidate profiles. Descriptions are returned as the board publishes them, so a posting can include a recruiter's contact details if the employer put them there.

**How fresh is it?** Up to the hour. Schedule it hourly or daily to catch new postings.

**Something wrong?** Open an issue with an example job.

**Is this an official Remote OK product?** No. It is an independent tool that reads Remote OK's public API. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Remote OK.

# Actor input Schema

## `sources` (type: `array`):

This actor reads Remote OK only. For several boards in one de-duplicated feed, use the Remote Jobs Aggregator.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs that mention any of these words in the title, tags, category or description. Whole words, not case sensitive. Examples: python, react, customer support. Leave empty for all jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs with any of these words in the title, company, category or tags (the description is not checked). Examples: senior, crypto, sales.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose category or tags contain any of these texts. Examples: design, marketing, devops, customer support.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these texts. Country names and codes work (USA, US, United States all match), as do regions like Europe, LATAM, APAC and Worldwide.

## `matchWorldwide` (type: `boolean`):

When you filter by location, also keep jobs open to candidates anywhere in the world.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days. Use 0 for no limit.

## `employmentTypes` (type: `array`):

Keep only these types. Leave empty for all. Jobs whose source does not state a type are dropped when this is set.

## `minSalary` (type: `integer`):

Drop jobs whose stated salary is below this, converted to a yearly figure in the job's own currency (hourly x 2,080, monthly x 12). Jobs that do not state a salary are kept unless you also turn on "Only jobs with a salary".

## `requireSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs that state a salary.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs. Newest jobs come first.

## `dedupe` (type: `boolean`):

The same job (same company and title, posted within 14 days) listed on several boards is returned once: the most complete copy, with the other boards in alsoListedOn. Turn off to get every copy, with duplicateOf pointing at the main one.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the job description as plain text (up to 3,000 characters).

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Only needed if a job board blocks requests from data centers.
