## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs Scraper: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Workable

Get **every open job from any company's careers page** as clean, structured data. Paste job board URLs, careers page URLs or just company names. The actor finds the company's job board and returns title, location, remote flag, department, **salary (where the company publishes it)**, full description and apply link.

It reads the **official public job-board APIs** that these platforms provide for careers pages. That means no browser, no proxies, no login and no breakage when a website's design changes. Runs are fast and cheap.

### Supported job boards

| Platform | Example input | Typical companies |
|----------|---------------|-------------------|
| Greenhouse | `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe` | Stripe, Airbnb, Coinbase, Discord |
| Lever | `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir` | Palantir, Netflix-style tech companies |
| Ashby | `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp` | Ramp, Notion, OpenAI-era startups |
| SmartRecruiters | `https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup` | Bosch, Visa, large enterprises |
| Recruitee | `https://channable.recruitee.com` | European scale-ups |
| Workable | `https://apply.workable.com/acme` | SMBs worldwide |

You can also give:

- **A careers page URL** like `https://www.notion.so/careers`. The actor opens it and detects which job board is embedded.
- **A bare company slug** like `stripe`. Every platform is tried until one matches.
- **`platform:slug`** like `lever:palantir` to skip detection.

### Search 1,400+ companies at once

Turn on **"Also search our directory of 1,400+ companies"** to search a built-in list of tech companies and startups (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Recruitee and SmartRecruiters boards, about 50,000 open jobs) without typing any company names. Combine it with title keywords, location and "Remote jobs only". For example, every remote "data engineer" opening across the directory comes back in about 2 minutes.

```json
{ "useBuiltInDirectory": true, "titleKeywords": ["data engineer"], "remoteOnly": true, "maxItems": 500 }
```

### Why this one

- **Built-in directory of 1,400+ companies**, so you can search jobs by keyword without a company list.
- **6 platforms in one actor**, with the same output columns for all of them, so you can mix companies freely.
- **Auto-detection** from a careers page, so you don't have to know which platform a company uses.
- **Salary fields** filled whenever the company publishes pay ranges (Ashby, Lever and Recruitee often do).
- **Filters built in:** title keywords, excluded words, location, department, remote only, posted in the last N days.
- **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs**, cheaper than single-platform alternatives, and you only pay for jobs that pass your filters.

### What people use it for

- **Sales prospecting (hiring signals):** a company hiring 5 SDRs needs sales tools. Track target accounts' openings weekly.
- **Job boards and newsletters:** power a niche job board (remote, climate, crypto, AI) from hundreds of company boards.
- **Recruiting and competitive intelligence:** see which teams competitors are growing and where.
- **Job seekers:** watch your dream companies and get only new matching roles.
- **Labour-market research:** salaries, locations and remote share across companies.

  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-05T23:15:15Z"
}
```
A `SUMMARY` record in the run's key-value store lists every input line, which platform was found and how many jobs it had.
### Pricing
Pay per result: **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** (plus a tiny per-run start fee). Set **Max results** to cap your spend.
### FAQ
**Is this allowed?** The actor only reads the public job-board APIs that these platforms publish so companies can show jobs on their own careers pages. It doesn't log in or bypass anything.
**A company wasn't found.** Paste its job board URL (open any job on the careers page and copy the link), or use `platform:slug`. Companies on Workday, iCIMS or Taleo aren't supported yet. Open an issue to request one.
**How fresh is the data?** Live: every run reads the job boards at that moment. Schedule the actor daily with "Posted within the last 1 day" to get only new jobs.
### Use it with n8n, Make or Zapier
Schedule a daily run in Apify, then use the Apify integration in n8n, Make or Zapier to send new jobs to Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable or your CRM.
