## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Public Tenders Scraper (TED)

Search **EU public procurement notices** from TED (Tenders Electronic Daily), the official journal for public tenders across the EU and EEA. Get one clean row per notice with title, description, buyer name, city, email, phone and website, CPV codes, estimated value, tender deadline and, for award notices, the winners and awarded value.

### What you can use it for

- **Find public tenders** in 30+ European countries in your sector.
- **Bid monitoring** for consultancies and agencies.
- **Competitor intelligence:** who won which contract and for how much.
- **Lead generation:** contact details of public buyers.

### How it works

The actor builds a TED expert-search query from your inputs, pages through the official TED API v3 and picks your preferred language for multilingual titles and descriptions.

### Input example

```json
{
  "keywords": [
    "software",
    "cloud computing"
  ],
  "countries": [
    "DEU",
    "FRA",
    "NLD"
  ],
  "noticeTypes": [
    "contract_notices"
  ],
  "openOnly": true,
  "daysBack": 7,
  "maxItems": 300
}
```

Every option is described in the Input tab. Set **Max results** to control how much you pay for.

### Output example

```json
  "pdfUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/685614-2026/pdf"
}
```

Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or connect them to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or your own code through the Apify API.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** (new Apify accounts get monthly free credit).
2. Fill in the input, for example to get new software tenders in Germany and France.
3. Click **Start** and download the results as Excel, CSV, JSON or HTML, or open them in Google Sheets.

### How much does it cost?

You pay only for results: **$3 per 1,000 EU public tenders** (about $0.30 for 100), plus a fraction of a cent per run. Set **Max results** to cap your spend. Apify's free plan credit covers a lot of test runs.

### Integrations and API

Use it as a Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) export tool and tender alert service. Run it on a schedule and send new results to Google Sheets, Slack, email, Zapier, Make, n8n or your own webhook, or call it from any language through the Apify API. It also works as a tool for AI agents through Apify's MCP server.

### Scheduling

Use Apify Schedules to run the actor daily or weekly and get only the latest records, for example with **Days back** set to 1 or 7.

### FAQ

**Which countries are covered?**

All EU member states plus EEA and some other countries that publish on TED.

**Why are some titles not in English?**

TED translates titles but descriptions are often only in the original language. The actor uses your preferred language when available.

**Something broken or missing?**

Open an issue in the Issues tab and it will be fixed.
