## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Remote Jobs Aggregator (4 Job Boards)

Search **remote jobs across four job boards at once**: RemoteOK, Jobicy, Himalayas and Arbeitnow. Results are de-duplicated and normalised into one format with title, company, location, salary range, employment type, seniority, tags, description, posting date and apply link.

### What you can use it for

- **Job seekers:** one search instead of four sites, with salary and keyword filters.
- **Job boards and newsletters:** fill a niche job board automatically.
- **Recruiters and market research:** see who is hiring remotely and what they pay.

### How it works

The actor reads each board's public API or feed, filters by your keywords, salary and date, and removes duplicates that appear on more than one board.

### Input example

```json
{
  "keywords": [
    "python",
    "data engineer"
  ],
  "minSalary": 80000,
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
  "maxItems": 300
}
```

Every option is described in the Input tab. Set **Max results** to control how much you pay for.

### Output example

```json
{
  "source": "remoteok",
  "title": "Sr Solutions Architect",
  "company": "ExtraHop",
  "location": "Remote",
  "remote": true,
  "salaryMin": null,
  "salaryMax": null,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryPeriod": "year",
  "employmentType": null,
  "seniority": null,
  "tags": [
    "architecture",
    "design",
    "infosec"
  ],
  "description": "At ExtraHop, we’re on a mission to protect and empower the connected enterprise. We reveal what is happening in the very infrastructure that sustains busin...",
  "postedAt": "2026-09-15T00:00:26+00:00",
  "applyUrl": "https://remoteOK.com/remote-jobs/remote-sr-solutions-architect-extrahop-1137394",
  "url": "https://remoteOK.com/remote-jobs/remote-sr-solutions-architect-extrahop-1137394",
  "companyLogo": null
}
```

Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or connect them to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or your own code through the Apify API.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** (new Apify accounts get monthly free credit).
2. Fill in the input, for example to get remote Python jobs posted this week.
3. Click **Start** and download the results as Excel, CSV, JSON or HTML, or open them in Google Sheets.

### How much does it cost?

You pay only for results: **$2 per 1,000 remote jobs** (about $0.20 for 100), plus a fraction of a cent per run. Set **Max results** to cap your spend. Apify's free plan credit covers a lot of test runs.

### Integrations and API

Use it as a RemoteOK, Himalayas, Jobicy and Arbeitnow export tool. Run it on a schedule and send new results to Google Sheets, Slack, email, Zapier, Make, n8n or your own webhook, or call it from any language through the Apify API. It also works as a tool for AI agents through Apify's MCP server.

### Scheduling

Use Apify Schedules to run the actor daily or weekly and get only the latest records, for example with **Days back** set to 1 or 7.

### FAQ

**Do I need to credit the boards?**

Each job keeps its original 'url' and 'source'. If you republish jobs, link back to the original posting as the boards ask.

**Why do some jobs have no salary?**

The job board did not publish one.

**Something broken or missing?**

Open an issue in the Issues tab and it will be fixed.

Drop jobs matching any of these, e.g. 'senior', 'sales'.

## `searchDescriptions` (type: `boolean`):

Match keywords against the full job description too (more results, less precise).

## `sources` (type: `array`):

Which data sources to include.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Arbeitnow also lists on-site jobs in Europe; turn this off to include them.

## `minSalary` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs that publish a salary at or above this (in the job's own currency, usually yearly).

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in this many recent days.
