## Eastern Europe Company Registry Scraper

Pull official company-registry data from Poland (KRS), Czech Republic (ARES),
and Slovakia (ORSR) in one unified output. Useful for EU sanctions screening,
KYC, M&A research, and pan-European B2B enrichment.

All three sources are open public registries — no captcha, no proxy, no auth.

### What You Get

A single normalized record per company, regardless of source country:

- `registry_id` — KRS number (PL), IČO (CZ), or IČO (SK)
- `country` — `PL` / `CZ` / `SK`
- `legal_name`, `legal_form`, `status`, `incorporation_date`
- `nip_vat` — tax ID (NIP for PL, DIČ for CZ)
- `regon_id` — REGON statistical number (PL)
- `address`, `address_city`, `address_postal_code`, `address_country`
- `industry_codes`, `industries` — NACE / PKD / OKEČ classifications
- `capital`, `currency` — registered share capital
- `board_members` — statutory body / management
- `partners` — shareholders / partners (where published)
- `last_update_date`, `source_url`, `scraped_at`

### How To Use

**Pick which countries to query** in the `Countries` field, then provide
country-specific input:

#### Poland (KRS)

The Polish public registry exposes a **lookup-by-KRS-number** API only — there
is no public name-search endpoint. Provide a list of 10-digit KRS numbers in
`pl_krs_numbers`. You can find KRS numbers at
https://wyszukiwarka-krs.ms.gov.pl/.

- `pl_krs_register` — `P` = entrepreneurs/companies (default), `S` =
  associations & foundations
- `pl_krs_full_extract` — fetch the full historical extract instead of just the
  current state. Slower and much larger response per company.

#### Czech Republic (ARES)

ARES supports both **name search** and **direct IČO lookup**. Use either or both:

- `cz_search_name` — partial name match (Czech diacritics supported)
- `cz_ico_numbers` — list of 8-digit IČO numbers for direct lookup

#### Slovakia (ORSR)

Slovak ORSR supports **name search** only:

- `sk_search_name` — partial name match (Slovak diacritics supported)

#### Global

- `maxItems` — caps total records across all countries

### What's Not Covered (Yet)

This actor covers the three **open**, captcha-free, non-geofenced registries.
Three other Eastern European countries from the original brief require dedicated
actors with country-specific proxies and captcha solving:

- **Romania (ONRC)** — geofenced + captcha on search portal
- **Hungary (e-cégjegyzék)** — SPA with strict referrer enforcement
- **Ukraine (USR)** — geofenced + Cyrillic encoding + heavy login wall

### Limitations

- **Polish KRS personal data** is masked with asterisks (`J**** K*******`) by
  the Ministry of Justice for privacy reasons. The role and structure are
  preserved; only the personal name is redacted.
- **No real-time monitoring** — each run is a snapshot at request time. Re-run
  the actor to pick up changes.
- **Slovak ORSR detail pages** are served in `windows-1250` encoding (legacy
  ASP) — the actor decodes them transparently, but expect occasional special
  characters to differ from the canonical Latin-2 form.
