## Pricing

from $0.80 / 1,000 record scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## PlugShare EV Charging Station Scraper

Collect EV charging station data from **PlugShare**, the community map of public chargers. Search by place, network or station name, or scan a whole map area around a coordinate, and get one clean record per station: name, address, coordinates, charging networks, connector types, power in kW, fast-charger flag and community score.

### What it does

- Searches PlugShare for any keyword, such as a city, a charging network or a station name, and returns up to 200 stations per keyword
- Scans a circular map area around any latitude and longitude and returns every station inside the radius, even in dense cities
- Filters by connector type (CCS1, CCS2, CHAdeMO, J1772, NACS, Type 2, GB/T, NEMA 14-50), fast chargers only, and minimum power in kW
- Lists each connector with its rating, for example `CCS1 150kW DC x4`

### Use cases

- Mapping charging coverage for a city, region or country
- Finding fast chargers and Tesla or NACS sites along a route or around a venue
- Benchmarking charging networks by number of sites and power levels
- Feeding EV fleet planning, real estate and retail site selection

### Input

| Field            | Type            | Description                                                                     |
|------------------|-----------------|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| searchQueries    | List of strings | Places, networks or station names to search, e.g. `Austin`, `Electrify America` |
| latitude | Number | Center of a map area to scan, e.g. `40.7128`. Set together with longitude |
| longitude        | Number          | Center of a map area to scan, e.g. `-74.0060`                                   |
| radiusKm | Number | Radius around the center in kilometers. Default `10`, up to `100` |
| connectorTypes | Multi-select | Keep stations with at least one of the chosen connectors. Empty keeps all |
| fastChargersOnly | Boolean | Keep only DC fast charging stations |
| minPowerKw | Integer | Keep only stations with a connector rated at this power or higher |
| maxItems | Integer | Maximum number of stations to return |

Set at least one search keyword or an area center. Both can be combined in one run, and a station found twice is returned once.

### Output

Each record contains:

```json
{
  "id": 475282,
  "url": "https://www.plugshare.com/location/475282",
  "name": "Bical Car City",
  "address": "2859 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11234, USA",
  "latitude": 40.6018145,
  "longitude": -73.91265109999999,
  "score": 1.8,
  "networks": ["EVoke"],
  "connector_types": ["CCS1", "J-1772"],
  "outlets": ["J-1772 AC x11", "CCS1 75kW DC x2"],
  "station_count": 12,
  "max_power_kw": 75,
  "is_fast_charger": true,
  "coming_soon": false,
  "under_repair": false,
  "search_query": null
}
```

### Notes

- `score` is the PlugShare community score and is only present for stations that have been rated (about a third of stations in a typical city).
- `max_power_kw` and `networks` are empty for stations where PlugShare has no rating or operator on record.
- `search_query` holds the keyword that found the station and is empty for stations found by an area scan.
- Keyword search is fuzzy, so a short keyword such as `Austin` can also return similarly named places elsewhere. Use an area scan when you need a strict geographic boundary.
- Power filters only match stations that list a kW rating.
