## Pricing

$10.00 / 1,000 verified source results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## US Federal Contractor Award Signals — AI-ready watchlist

**Monitor newly awarded U.S. federal contracts for specified companies, with official evidence URLs.** Designed for analysts, AI agents and government-contract intelligence teams.

### Value proposition

- Search up to 10 contractor names against the official USAspending.gov API. Filter by recent award date and minimum USD obligations.
- Return *newly awarded* contracts, not regular modifications (USAspending 'new_awards_only' date filter).
- Add clear rule-based AI/cyber/cloud/semiconductors topic tags and linked original sources.
- Pass excludeAwardIds to suppress previously used award IDs. The Actor stores no shared buyer watchlist or state.
- No external API keys, premium data licenses, browser proxies or JavaScript scraping.

**Accuracy note:** The base award transaction date is not the public-disclosure date. Government reporting can lag. Obligated amounts are not earned corporate revenue. Tags are keywords, not machine-learned predictions. This is not financial advice.

### Example input

- recipientNames: \["PALANTIR TECHNOLOGIES", "LOCKHEED MARTIN"]
- daysBack: 90
- minAwardUsd: 1000000
- maxResults: 30

An output item contains matchedWatchTerm, recipientName, awardId, awardDate, obligatedAmountUsd, sizeTier, topicTags, awardingAgency, description, sourceUrl, source and caveat. Buyer can export JSON/CSV and schedule runs.

### Store monetization

Use the Apify **pay-per-event** model with the automatic synthetic **apify-default-dataset-item** event. Suggested **test** list price: USD $0.01 per item, not a claim of realized market value. Leave low-cost synthetic apify-actor-start enabled. Set limits in Apify Console to protect buyers and audit platform costs before making the listing public. Empty result sets have no per-result event.

### Publish

This is a stand-alone Actor folder, separate from the Next.js application. Use Apify CLI from this folder, or configure an Apify GitHub integration with this directory and then build in Apify Console. Validate the sample input, review costs, set pay-per-event pricing, configure account payout identity, then publish to Store. Authentication, billing acceptance and listing publication require the owner's Apify connection and are **not performed by GitHub**. Never put an Apify token in the repo.

### Verification

Run Python stdlib tests: python -m unittest discover -s tests -v.

Compliance: official public USAspending API (https://api.usaspending.gov/) and its published search contract. Independent product, not affiliated with the U.S. government. Data can have delays and corrections; verify official award details before trading or making compliance decisions.

# Actor input Schema

## `recipientNames` (type: `array`):

1–10 recipient names or distinctive aliases. Name filtering uses source search plus a local strict match.

## `daysBack` (type: `integer`):

How many calendar days to search backward from today.

## `minAwardUsd` (type: `number`):

Minimum amount of federal obligations in USD. These are not company revenues.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Upper limit of the records pushed to the paid results dataset.

## `excludeAwardIds` (type: `array`):

Pass IDs from previous runs to filter duplicate awards. No account-shared history is stored.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "recipientNames": [
    "PALANTIR TECHNOLOGIES"
  ],
  "daysBack": 90,
  "minAwardUsd": 100000,
  "maxResults": 100,
  "excludeAwardIds": []
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `records` (type: `string`):

Citable events from the official source; no unverified investor attribution.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

No description

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("ka1tetsu/us-federal-contractor-award-signals").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
