## Pricing

from $0.64 / 1,000 ads

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Snapchat Ads Library Scraper — every ad an advertiser runs on Snapchat, EU ads and political ads

Download the ads any company runs on **Snapchat** from Snap's two public ad libraries in one actor:

- **Ads Gallery** ([adsgallery.snap.com](https://adsgallery.snap.com/)): every commercial ad delivered in the EU in the last
  12 months, published under the Digital Services Act. Enter one or many advertiser or brand names (`Spotify`, `Nike`,
  `Zalando`) and get one row per ad: video or image creative, headline, call to action, landing page with its UTM tags,
  impressions in total and per country, the age and gender targeting, the start date and the review status.
- **Political & Advocacy Ads** ([snap.com/political-ads](https://www.snap.com/en-US/political-ads)): the archive of political,
  issue and advocacy ads worldwide since 2018, mostly US, with the **amount spent**, impressions, the paying organisation,
  committee and ballot information, and the regions, metros and postal codes targeted.

No Snapchat login, API key or cookies needed, and one run covers as many brands, countries and years as you like.

### Why this Snapchat Ads Library scraper

- **Both Snap ad libraries.** Commercial ads in the EU and political ads worldwide, behind one `library` switch.
- **Many advertisers in one run.** Paste a list of brand names instead of starting one run per brand, and filter by any
  of the 27 EU countries at once.
- **Spend for political ads.** The political archive includes how much each advertiser paid, so a cap on the number of
  ads keeps the biggest spenders first.
- **Straight from Snap's own API.** The data comes from Snap's public ad library endpoint, not from page scraping, so it
  does not break when the website changes. About 5 KB of proxy traffic per ad.
- **The right company.** Snap's name search is loose ("Uber" also finds "Hubert"); by default only advertisers whose
  name contains yours as a whole word are saved and charged.
- **Marketing fields, not just a creative link.** Landing page URL, parsed `utm_source` / `utm_medium` / `utm_campaign`,
  impressions per country, target age range and gender, ad type (video, story, collection, product catalog, app install,
  lens), how many days it has been running.
- **Dynamic ads decoded.** Story ads list every frame, product-catalog ads list their product images.
- **Reliable.** Snap limits how many requests one IP may make; the scraper moves to a fresh IP when it is refused,
  re-checks an empty answer before telling you a brand has no ads, and one failing brand never fails the run.
- **Cheap.** $0.75 per 1,000 ads, platform usage included.

### Use cases: competitor ad research on Snapchat

- **Competitor monitoring**: which creatives a rival is running right now, in which countries, and for how long.
- **Agencies and media buyers**: build a swipe file of video ads for a whole category, filtered by country and status.
- **Landing-page and campaign research**: the destination URLs and UTM naming conventions behind the ads.
- **Market research**: how much reach a brand buys in each EU country and which audiences it targets.
- **Compliance and brand protection**: check which advertiser accounts run ads under your brand name.
- **Political and issue advertising research**: who paid for which ads, how much, and which regions or metros they targeted.

Pair it with our [Meta Ads Library Scraper](https://apify.com/kalilfagundes.w/facebook-instagram-meta-ads-library-scraper)
to cover Facebook and Instagram ads too.

### Input example

```json
{
  "advertisers": ["Spotify", "Nike", "Zalando"],
  "countries": ["de", "fr", "it"],
  "status": "ACTIVE",
  "maxAdsPerAdvertiser": 100,
  "maxItems": 1000
}
```

For political and advocacy ads (spend, worldwide):

```json
{
  "library": "political",
  "years": ["2025", "2026"],
  "politicalCountries": ["US"],
  "advertisers": ["Ben and Jerry", "Human Appeal"],
  "maxAdsPerAdvertiser": 50
}
```

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `library` | `gallery` (default): commercial ads delivered in the EU. `political`: Snap's political and advocacy ads archive |
| `advertisers` | Advertiser or brand names, one per line. Snap matches the name against the paying advertiser (for example "Spotify USA Inc."), so a short brand name finds all its entities |
| `maxAdsPerAdvertiser` | Ads per name (0 = all of them). Snap returns 10 ads per page |
| `maxItems` | Cap for the whole run (0 = no cap) |
| `matchMode` | `word` (default) keeps only advertisers whose name contains your name as a whole word; `snap` returns everything Snap matches, including look-alike names |
| `countries` | Gallery only: EU countries the ads were delivered in. Empty = all 27. Greece is `el` |
| `years` | Political only: which yearly archives to read (2018 to now). Empty = this year and last year |
| `politicalCountries` | Political only: keep ads shown in these countries (`US`, `GB` or names). Empty = all |
| `status` | `ACTIVE`, `PAUSED` or both (empty) |
| `dateFrom` / `dateTo` | Only ads that ran at some point inside this window (Snap keeps 12 months) |
| `includeRaw` | Adds Snap's untouched record as `raw` (story frames, catalog items, every targeting field) |
| `maxConcurrency` | Advertiser names fetched at the same time (default 2, up to 5) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Apify Proxy, residential by default; a fresh IP is used whenever Snap refuses a request |

### Output example

  "source": "Snap Ads Gallery",
  "sourceUrl": "https://adsgallery.snap.com/",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-15T13:42:13Z"
}
```
Story ads add a `snaps` list (one entry per frame), product-catalog ads add `productCount` and `productImages`.
A political ad row (`"library": "political"`) looks like this (shortened):
````json
{
  "adId": "2db2962a0099a5b7964a3ac09f6ca58dca014b83f9478084a4e0a87ff1b5263a",

  "metrosIncluded": ["Boston (manchester)"],
  "searchTerm": "Ben and Jerry",
  "source": "Snap Political Ads Library",
  "sourceUrl": "https://www.snap.com/en-US/political-ads"
}
``` The run's
**OUTPUT** record lists, per name, how many ads were saved, how many pages were read and which advertiser entities the
name matched; **INPUT_STATUS** says for each name whether it was found, not found, or could not be checked.
### Run it on a schedule and connect it to your tools
**Schedule:** in Apify Console open *Schedules → Create*, pick this actor and your input, and run it every Monday morning
to see which ads your competitors launched last week and which ones are still running. Each run returns the full, current
result set as a new dataset.
**Integrations** (Actor → *Integrations* tab, no code):
- **Google Sheets** — append every run's ads to a sheet.
- **Make, Zapier, n8n** — start the actor from a scenario/zap/workflow and use the ads in the next steps.
- **Webhook** — get a POST to your endpoint when a run succeeds, then download the dataset.
- **Slack / email** — notify your team when a scheduled run finishes.
**AI agents (MCP)** — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client can run it as a tool: add the Apify MCP
server `https://mcp.apify.com?actors=kalilfagundes.w/snapchat-ads-scraper` (sign in with your Apify account) and ask for the data in
plain language. The agent fills the input from the input schema and reads the dataset back.
**API** — call it from your code (`pip install apify-client` / `npm i apify-client`):
```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient

client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("kalilfagundes.w/snapchat-ads-scraper").call(run_input={
    "advertisers": ["Spotify", "Nike", "Zalando"],
    "countries": ["de", "fr", "it"],
    "status": "ACTIVE",
    "maxAdsPerAdvertiser": 100,
})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["advertiserName"], item["headline"], item["impressionsTotal"], item["landingUrl"])
````
```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';

const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' });
const run = await client.actor('kalilfagundes.w/snapchat-ads-scraper').call({
  advertisers: ['Spotify', 'Nike', 'Zalando'],
  countries: ['de', 'fr', 'it'],
  status: 'ACTIVE',
  maxAdsPerAdvertiser: 100,
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);
```
### Pricing
Pay per result, platform usage included:
| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Ad saved | **$0.75 per 1,000 ads** |
| Run start | $0.002 |
Example: 1,000 ads of a competitor ≈ $0.75. Apify subscribers get tier discounts automatically. Set `maxItems` to cap the
cost of a run.
### FAQ and limits
- **Does it need a Snapchat login or API key?** No. Snap's ad library is public and open to third parties.
- **Which ads are covered?** Gallery: ads delivered in the EU member states during the last 12 months, as Snap publishes
  them under the Digital Services Act; ads that never reached the EU are not in it. Political: the political, issue and
  advocacy ads Snap lists in its yearly archive (2018 onwards, mostly the US, also the UK, Canada, Australia, the Gulf and
  Europe). It does not contain ordinary commercial ads outside the EU.
- **Is there ad spend?** Only in the political library. For commercial gallery ads Snap publishes impressions, not spend,
  and no end date, so `daysSinceStart` counts from the start date for every status.
- **How fresh is the political archive?** Snap rebuilds the yearly files itself; the actor reads the current file on every
  run. A new campaign appears when Snap adds it to the archive.
- **Why does a search for "Uber" find nothing, or fewer ads than I expected?** Snap matches any part of a name, so "Uber"
  also returns "Hubert" and "Shubert". By default (`matchMode: word`) the scraper keeps only advertisers whose name contains
  your name as a whole word and tells you in INPUT_STATUS when everything Snap returned was a look-alike. Set `matchMode`
  to `snap` to get Snap's loose matches. Every row has `searchTerm` and `advertiserName` either way.
- **Date filter:** `dateFrom` and `dateTo` select ads that ran at some point in the window, as Snap defines it. If you set
  only `dateFrom`, today is used as the end.
- **Greece** uses the code `el` in Snap's gallery (`gr` is accepted and converted). For political ads use
  `politicalCountries`.
- Data belongs to the advertisers and Snap; use it in line with their terms and your local laws.
# Actor input Schema
## `library` (type: `string`):
gallery = every commercial ad shown in the EU, found by advertiser name (needs advertisers). political = Snap's archive of political and advocacy ads worldwide with spend and impressions; advertisers is optional there.
## `advertisers` (type: `array`):
One advertiser, brand, committee or candidate per line, e.g. "Spotify". Gallery: Snap matches the paying advertiser (a company such as "Spotify USA Inc."). Political: matches the organisation, paying advertiser, committee and ballot text. Many names per run are fine.
## `maxAdsPerAdvertiser` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many ads for each name above (0 = all of them; big brands have thousands). The gallery returns 10 ads per page; the political library keeps the biggest spenders first.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Hard cap for the whole run (0 = no cap). Keeps the cost predictable.
## `countries` (type: `array`):
Gallery library only: ads delivered in these EU countries. Leave empty for all 27 (Greece is "el"). For the political library use politicalCountries.
## `matchMode` (type: `string`):
Snap matches any part of a name ("Uber" also finds "Hubert"). Exact keeps only advertisers whose name contains your name as a whole word. Loose returns everything Snap returns.
## `years` (type: `array`):
Political library only: which yearly archives to read, 2018 to now. Empty = this year and last year. Each year is a 0.15-5 MB file.
## `politicalCountries` (type: `array`):
Political library only: keep ads shown in these countries. ISO codes (US, GB, DE) or names (united states). Empty = every country.
## `status` (type: `string`):
ACTIVE = still running, PAUSED = stopped. Empty returns both.
## `dateFrom` (type: `string`):
Only ads that ran at some point between dateFrom and dateTo (YYYY-MM-DD). The gallery keeps 12 months. If dateTo is empty, today is used.
## `dateTo` (type: `string`):
End of the date window (YYYY-MM-DD). Used together with dateFrom.
## `includeRaw` (type: `boolean`):
Adds the untouched record from Snap as a "raw" field (gallery: story frames, catalog items and every targeting field; political: the CSV row). Makes rows much larger.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
How many advertiser names are fetched at the same time. Each page of one advertiser is fetched in order.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Snap limits how many requests one IP may make; the scraper takes a fresh IP for every request when Apify Proxy is on.
