## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse, Lever & Ashby Jobs Scraper

Get every open job from company career pages hosted on **Greenhouse**, **Lever** or **Ashby**, in one consistent format.

The Actor reads the official public job board APIs of the three systems. There is no browser, no proxy and no login, so runs are fast and stable: a board with several hundred jobs usually finishes in a few seconds.

### What you can do with it

- Track hiring at a list of companies and see new openings as they appear.
- Build a job board or a newsletter for a niche (remote jobs, a city, a role).
- Follow competitors' hiring by team, location and salary range.
- Feed fresh job postings to an AI agent or a spreadsheet.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `companies` | Job board URLs, `ats:slug` pairs, or plain company slugs. Required. |
| `titleKeywords` | Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words. |
| `locationKeywords` | Keep jobs whose location, country or workplace type contains any of these words (for example `remote`). |
| `postedWithinDays` | Keep jobs published in the last N days. `0` keeps all. |
| `includeDescription` | Add the full description as HTML and plain text. Default `true`. |
| `maxItemsPerCompany` | Newest first. `0` means no limit. |
| `maxItems` | Total limit for the run. `0` means no limit. |

Accepted forms for `companies`:

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/figma",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir",
    "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
    "greenhouse:stripe",
    "linear"
  ],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
  "locationKeywords": ["remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 30
}
```

A plain slug such as `linear` is tried on all three systems. The slug is the last part of the company's job board URL.

### Output

One item per job:

```json
{
  "ats": "ashby",
  "company": "ramp",
  "companyName": null,
  "id": "440606b5-1923-4f9d-a0ed-c126445b9477",
  "title": "Channel Partner Manager, Accounting",
  "department": "Sales",
  "team": "Channel Sales",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "San Francisco, CA", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
  "country": "USA",
  "remote": true,
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-09T23:32:30.531Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/440606b5-1923-4f9d-a0ed-c126445b9477",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/440606b5-1923-4f9d-a0ed-c126445b9477/application",
  "salaryMin": 14000,
  "salaryMax": 214000,
  "descriptionText": "ABOUT RAMP\n\n…",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-10T09:17:35.913Z"
}
```

Fields that a system does not publish are `null`. In practice:

| Field | Greenhouse | Lever | Ashby |
|---|---|---|---|
| `companyName` | yes | no | no |
| `department` | yes | yes | yes |
| `team` | no | yes | yes |
| `workplaceType` | only `remote`, from the location text | yes | yes |
| `employmentType` | no | yes | yes |
| `postedAt` | yes | yes | yes |
| `updatedAt` | yes | no | no |
| salary fields | when the company publishes pay ranges | when published | when published |

### Good to know

- Only jobs that the company lists publicly are returned. Internal or unlisted postings are not available.
- A company that does not use Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby is reported in the log and in the run's status message; the other companies in the same run still finish.
- A run fails only when nothing could be fetched at all.
- Filters are applied before saving, so you are charged only for the jobs you keep.
- The Actor collects job postings only. It does not collect data about applicants or employees.

### How to find a company's slug

Open the company's careers page and look at where the job links go:

- `boards.greenhouse.io/<slug>` or `job-boards.greenhouse.io/<slug>`
- `jobs.lever.co/<slug>`
- `jobs.ashbyhq.com/<slug>`

Paste that URL into `companies`, or use the slug alone.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Job board URLs (boards.greenhouse.io/acme, jobs.lever.co/acme, jobs.ashbyhq.com/acme), or `greenhouse:acme` / `lever:acme` / `ashby:acme`. A plain company slug such as `acme` is tried on all three systems.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive). Leave empty to keep all jobs.

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location, country or workplace type contains at least one of these words, for example `remote`, `london`, `germany`. Leave empty to keep all locations.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs published in the last N days. 0 keeps all jobs.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full description as HTML and as plain text. Turn off for smaller output.

## `maxItemsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Newest jobs first. 0 means no limit per company.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

The run stops after saving this many jobs. 0 means no limit.
