## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 markets

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Kalshi Markets Scraper - Prices, Volume & Odds

Get **Kalshi** prediction markets with current yes/no prices, volume and open interest, as clean rows ready for a spreadsheet, a dashboard or an AI agent.

The Actor reads Kalshi's public market data API. No API key and no login are needed. With the default settings it reads every open market (around 150,000) in about half a minute and saves the most traded ones.

### What you can do with it

- See the most active markets right now, across all categories or in one.
- Track implied probabilities for elections, Fed decisions, weather, sports or crypto over time by scheduling the Actor.
- Find markets by keyword and export them with prices and volume.
- Pull every strike of one event or one series, for example all temperature ranges of a city.
- Download settled markets with their results for backtesting.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `status` | `open` (default), `closed`, `settled` or `all`. `open` returns only markets that are trading now. |
| `categories` | For example `Economics`, `Politics`, `Elections`, `Sports`, `Crypto`, `Financials`, `Climate and Weather`. |
| `search` | Keywords matched against the event title, market title and ticker. |
| `seriesTickers` | Read only these series, for example `KXHIGHNY`. Much faster than a full scan. |
| `eventTickers` | Read only these events. |
| `minVolume`, `minVolume24h` | Minimum number of contracts traded, in total or in the last 24 hours. |
| `closesWithinDays` | Only markets that close in the next N days. |
| `sortBy` | `volume24h` (default), `volume`, `openInterest`, `closeTime` or `none`. |
| `includeRules` | Add the settlement rules text. |
| `maxItems` | Maximum number of markets to save. Default 500, `0` means no limit. |

Top 100 economics and crypto markets by 24h volume:

```json
{
  "categories": ["Economics", "Crypto"],
  "sortBy": "volume24h",
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

All strikes of one series:

```json
{
  "seriesTickers": ["KXHIGHNY"],
  "sortBy": "closeTime",
  "maxItems": 0
}
```

### Output

One item per market:

```json
{
  "ticker": "KXHIGHNY-26OCT10-B66.5",
  "eventTicker": "KXHIGHNY-26OCT10",
  "seriesTicker": "KXHIGHNY",
  "category": "Climate and Weather",
  "eventTitle": "Highest temperature in New York City on Oct 10, 2026?",
  "eventSubtitle": "On Oct 10, 2026",
  "title": "Will the maximum temperature be 66-67° on Oct 10, 2026?",
  "yesSubtitle": "66° to 67°",
  "noSubtitle": "66° to 67°",
  "marketType": "binary",
  "status": "active",
  "result": null,
  "yesBid": 0.26,
  "yesAsk": 0.28,
  "noBid": 0.72,
  "noAsk": 0.74,
  "lastPrice": 0.26,
  "previousPrice": 0,
  "midPrice": 0.27,
  "volume": 3505.85,
  "volume24h": 3504.85,
  "openInterest": 2602.47,
  "strikeType": "between",
  "floorStrike": 66,
  "capStrike": 67,
  "mutuallyExclusive": true,
  "canCloseEarly": true,
  "openTime": "2026-10-09T14:00:00Z",
  "closeTime": "2026-10-11T05:00:00Z",
  "expectedExpirationTime": "2026-10-11T19:00:00Z",
  "latestExpirationTime": "2026-10-17T14:00:00Z",
  "url": "https://kalshi.com/markets/kxhighny",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-10T09:25:36.472Z"
}
```

- Prices are in US dollars per contract, from 0 to 1. A yes price of 0.26 means the market prices the outcome at about 26%.
- `midPrice` is the midpoint of the yes bid and ask. It is `null` when one side of the book is empty.
- `volume`, `volume24h` and `openInterest` are numbers of contracts.
- `result` is filled for settled markets (`yes` or `no`).
- `url` links to the series page on kalshi.com.

### Good to know

- **Sorting needs a full read.** With a sort order the Actor reads all matching markets before saving the top ones, about 30 seconds for all open markets. Use `seriesTickers` or `eventTickers`, or set `sortBy` to `none`, when you want a faster run.
- Closed and settled markets go back years. For those, narrow the run with `seriesTickers`; a single run reads at most 80,000 events.
- Multi-leg combo markets are not included.
- This Actor reads market data only. It does not place orders and does not access accounts.
- The data comes from Kalshi and is provided as-is. It is not financial advice.

# Actor input Schema

## `status` (type: `string`):

Which events to read. `Open` returns only markets that are trading now.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Keep only these categories, for example `Economics`, `Politics`, `Elections`, `Sports`, `Crypto`, `Financials`, `Climate and Weather`, `Entertainment`, `Companies`. Leave empty for all.

## `search` (type: `array`):

Keep only markets whose event title, market title or ticker contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive).

## `seriesTickers` (type: `array`):

Read only these series, for example `KXHIGHNY` or `KXFED`. Much faster than scanning everything.

## `eventTickers` (type: `array`):

Read only these events, for example `KXELONMARS-99`.

## `minVolume` (type: `integer`):

Keep only markets with at least this many contracts traded in total.

## `minVolume24h` (type: `integer`):

Keep only markets with at least this many contracts traded in the last 24 hours.

## `closesWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only markets that close in the next N days. 0 keeps all.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

With a sort order, the Actor reads all matching markets first and saves the top ones. `No sorting` saves markets as they arrive and stops as soon as the limit is reached.

## `includeRules` (type: `boolean`):

Add the settlement rules of each market.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

The run saves at most this many markets. 0 means no limit.

  "includeRules": false,
  "maxItems": 100
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `results` (type: `string`):
