## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Autocomplete SEO Keywords

Expand a short seed list with Google's public Autocomplete (suggest) endpoint. Optional A-Z and question prefixes give you long-tail and FAQ-style phrases without scraping full SERP pages.

### Good for

- SEO and content people who want long-tail ideas from a handful of seeds
- Agencies building topic clusters or FAQ pages
- Anyone who wants keyword suggestions as clean rows (CSV / JSON) instead of clicking through Google

### What you get

One row per unique suggestion:

| Field | Example |
| --- | --- |
| `seed` | saas explainer video |
| `query` | saas explainer video a |
| `suggestion` | saas explainer video agency |
| `rank` | 1 (position in that suggest response) |
| `language`, `country` | en, us (`hl` / `gl`) |
| `scrapedAt` | ISO timestamp for the run |
| `note` | Only set when Google rate-limits or blocks |

### Example input

```json
{
  "seeds": ["saas explainer video", "dentist website"],
  "expandAlphabet": true,
  "expandQuestions": false,
  "language": "en",
  "country": "us",
  "maxQueries": 50,
  "maxSuggestionsPerQuery": 10,
  "requestDelayMs": 200
}
```

Tips:

- Start with `expandAlphabet: false` and a tiny seed list to see the format.
- Turn on A-Z when you need breadth. Cap `maxQueries` so a run stays cheap.
- Use `expandQuestions` for how/what/why/when/where/best/vs style phrases.
- If Google returns 429/403, enable Apify Proxy and lower concurrency / raise the delay.

### Pricing

Pay per event: you pay for each unique suggestion row written to the dataset, plus the standard Actor start. See the Pricing tab. Set a max total charge on the run if you want a hard budget.

Proposed / live event: `suggestion` at **$0.0005** per unique row.

### Data and privacy

- Uses only Google's public suggest endpoint (`suggestqueries.google.com`). No login, no CAPTCHA bypass.
- Output is keyword phrases, not personal data (no names, emails or phones).
- Respect Google's Terms of Service. Rate-limit your runs. Use Proxy only if your Apify plan allows it.

### Known limits

- Suggest responses can be empty or locale-specific.
- Heavy A-Z expands can hit rate limits. Lower `maxQueries` or enable proxy.
- Suggestions are not search volumes. Pair with your own volume tool if you need traffic estimates.

### Done-for-you option
