## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Hotels Prices — Nightly Rates & Provider Offers

Get the hotel prices Google Hotels shows for any city and stay, as clean rows:

- **Hotel rows**: name, nightly price, stay total, currency, check-in/check-out and nights, star class, guest rating and review count, coordinates and Google's property ID
- **Offer rows** (optional): for each hotel, every booking-site offer Google lists (Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Trip.com, Priceline, the hotel's own site…), each with its nightly price and stay total. Vacation rentals also include a base / taxes-and-fees split.

Use it for competitor rate tracking, market price snapshots across cities, or comparing booking sites for the same hotel. No Google account or API key needed.

### How much does it cost?

| Event | Price | When |
|---|---|---|
| `hotel-result` | $0.001 | One hotel with a price for your stay and currency |
| `provider-offer` | $0.0005 | One booking-site offer row (only with offers enabled) |

20 hotels for one city cost **$0.02**. With offers for 10 of them (typically 1–15 offers each), expect another $0.005–$0.075. Apify also bills its fixed start event (`apify-actor-start`, $0.00005 per run).

You are **not** charged for hotels without a price, hotels whose returned stay or currency does not match your request, duplicates, or locations that are blocked or return nothing.

### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `locations` | `["Lisbon", "Porto"]` | One search per city or area, up to 20 |
| `checkIn` / `checkOut` | `2026-12-01` / `2026-12-03` | 1–30 nights; leave both empty for a 2-night stay 30 days from today |
| `currency` | `EUR` | Any three-letter code |
| `maxHotelsPerLocation` | `20` | Google returns about 20 hotels per search |
| `includeOffers` | `false` | Also fetch booking-site offers per hotel |
| `maxOfferHotels` | `10` | Hotels per run that get an offers lookup |

### Output

Hotel row:

```json
{
  "type": "hotel",
  "name": "Furama RiverFront",
  "nightlyPrice": 131.50136,
  "nightlyPriceText": "US$132",
  "stayTotal": 263,
  "stayTotalText": "US$263",
  "currency": "USD",
  "checkIn": "2026-11-18",
  "checkOut": "2026-11-20",
  "nights": 2,
  "starClass": 4,
  "guestRating": 4.3,
  "reviewCount": 10182,
  "kgmid": "/g/1tfb_k28",
  "searchLocation": "Singapore",
  "occupancy": "2 adults (Google default party)"
}
```

Offer row:

```json
{
  "type": "provider-offer",
  "hotelName": "Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou",
  "provider": "Priceline",
  "nightlyPrice": 104,
  "stayTotal": 209,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "checkIn": "2026-11-18",
  "checkOut": "2026-11-20"
}
```

Each location's outcome is listed in the free **status** dataset. A summary is saved as `OUTPUT`.

### Honest limits

- **2 adults, one room.** Prices are for Google's default party. Other party sizes are not supported yet.
- **Prices as displayed.** `nightlyPrice` is the average nightly price Google shows for the stay, and `stayTotal` is nightly × nights. Whether taxes are included follows Google's display for the market. For two booking sites checked in October 2026, Google's total matched the site's tax-inclusive total. These are not bookable quotes.
- **Check `resolvedLocation`.** Google matches your text to a place, and an unknown or misspelled name can resolve somewhere unrelated. Every hotel row says which place Google actually searched, so compare `resolvedLocation` with `searchLocation`.
- **About 20 hotels per city search.** For more coverage, search neighborhoods or nearby areas separately.
- **Offers cost one extra request per hotel.** `maxOfferHotels` caps them.

### Data source

Google Hotels (google.com/travel), logged out, using the same data request the Google Hotels page makes. The prices come from the booking sites and hotels that Google lists.
