## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Korea DART Financials & Filings (English IFRS Data)

Get **financial statements, key metrics and ratios, disclosure filings and company profiles** for any Korean company that files with **DART**, the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system (the SEC EDGAR of Korea). Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, Hyundai, NAVER and every other KOSPI/KOSDAQ company, plus thousands of unlisted audited firms, are covered. Everything is normalized to **English** and ready for spreadsheets, quant models and AI agents.

### What you get

| Data type | One record = | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| **Key metrics & ratios** (`summary`) | company × fiscal period | Revenue, operating income, net income, assets, liabilities, equity, cash, operating cash flow, plus gross/operating/net margin, ROE, ROA, debt-to-equity and current ratio |
| **Full financial statements** (`financials`) | one line item | Every line of the balance sheet, income statement, comprehensive income, cash flow and equity statements. Each line has its XBRL account ID, an English label, the original Korean label, and current, prior and two-years-prior amounts |
| **Disclosure filings** (`filings`) | one filing | English titles for common report types (annual/quarterly reports, material events, buybacks, 5% shareholding, insider ownership, dividends, preliminary earnings), an amendment flag and a direct link to the filing |
| **Company profile** (`profile`) | one company | English name, market (KOSPI/KOSDAQ/KONEX), CEO, registration numbers, address, website, industry code, founding date, fiscal year-end |

### Why this Actor

- **Official source.** Data comes straight from the OpenDART API run by Korea's Financial Supervisory Service.
- **English-first.** Statement names, account labels, report titles, markets and dates are all normalized. The Korean originals are kept for audit.
- **Easy company lookup.** Use a name (`삼성전자` or `Samsung Electronics`), a 6-digit stock code (`005930`) or an 8-digit DART code. All ~120,000 DART filers are covered, listed or not, and lookup is instant.
- **Consolidated or separate statements.** Automatic fallback to separate statements when a company has no subsidiaries.
- **Quarterly-aware.** For income and cash-flow metrics, year-to-date cumulative amounts are used. ROE and ROA are only computed for annual periods, so they are not misleading.
- **You don't pay for misses.** Unknown companies and unfiled periods return a free error row, and a company listed twice is fetched once.

### Getting your free OpenDART key (1 minute)

OpenDART's terms require each user to use their own key; keys may not be shared.

1. Go to https://engopendart.fss.or.kr (English) or https://opendart.fss.or.kr.
2. Apply for an API key with your email address. It's free, and the limit is 20,000 requests a day.
3. Paste the key into the **Your OpenDART API key** field. It is stored as a secret.

### Pricing

Pay per event, plus Apify's standard $0.00005 run-start fee:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Key metrics & ratios (per company × period) | $0.005 |
| Company profile | $0.005 |
| Disclosure filing | $0.002 |
| Financial statement line item | $0.0015 |

| Example | Cost |
|---|---|
| 10 companies × 5 fiscal years, key metrics & ratios | $0.25 |
| One large company's full annual statements (~230 line items) | ~$0.35 |
| 100 filings | $0.20 |
| Unknown company, unfiled period (error rows) or the same company listed twice | Free |
| Run without a key (sample data) | Only the $0.00005 run-start fee |

You can set a maximum cost per run in Apify. The Actor stops cleanly when the limit is reached.

### Notes and limits

- Financial statements in structured form are available from fiscal year **2015** onward, as DART provides them.
- Amounts are in the reporting currency (almost always KRW), as filed.
- English account labels come from the IFRS/DART XBRL taxonomy. Company-specific custom accounts keep only their Korean name (`accountNameEn: null`).
- Report-title translation covers the most common filing types. Other titles return `titleEn: null`, with the Korean title always included.
- Data source: OpenDART (금융감독원 전자공시시스템 Open API), via each user's own API key. The disclosures are prepared by the filing companies. The FSS does not guarantee their accuracy or completeness (OpenDART Terms, Art. 23), and neither does this Actor. Always check important figures against the filing linked in `sourceUrl`.
- Nothing here is investment advice.
- This Actor runs in your own Apify account. Its developer does not keep copies of your key, inputs or results.
- This Actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Financial Supervisory Service.
