## Pricing

Pay per event

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TCG New Set & Sealed Product Release Tracker: Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, Magic

Get alerted when a **new set or sealed product** shows up for **Pokémon, One Piece, Disney Lorcana or Magic: The Gathering**. Each item includes the **release date**, a **presale flag**, the **first market price** for sealed products (booster boxes, ETBs, bundles, decks, collections) and a link. Monitor mode remembers what it already returned, so a daily schedule gives you **only what is new**.

Data comes from the free **pokemontcg.io API** and **tcgcsv.com** (a public mirror of the TCGplayer catalog). No login and no key needed.

### For AI agents (MCP / API) quick reference

- **Use when:** you need newly announced or upcoming trading card sets and sealed products, with release dates and first prices.
- **Don't use for:** single card prices. For Pokémon card prices, use the [Pokémon TCG Price Monitor](https://apify.com/kempt_horizon_yzk/pokemon-tcg-price-monitor).
- **Minimal input:** `{"games": ["pokemon"], "lookbackDays": 30, "maxItems": 20}`. All fields are optional.
- **Output:** dataset items with `type` `set` (game, name, code, releaseDate, isPresale, source) or `sealed-product` (game, name, setName, releaseDate, isPresale, marketPrice, lowPrice, midPrice, url, imageUrl, firstListedOn).
- **Price:** $0.001 per run + **$0.005 per new set or product**. A day with 10 new items costs about $0.05. Pay per event only, limited permissions, so agentic payments (x402, Skyfire, Apify AGI token) work.
- **MCP:** add `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=kempt_horizon_yzk/tcg-new-release-tracker` to your MCP client.

### What can this release tracker do?

- ✅ **Four games**: Pokémon, One Piece, Disney Lorcana and Magic: The Gathering
- ✅ **New and announced sets**, including presale sets dated in the future
- ✅ **Sealed products** under those sets with first market, low and mid prices
- ✅ Optional **promo and supplemental** groups
- ✅ **Only new** mode (on by default) returns each set or product once, so you never pay twice for the same item
- ✅ Separate monitors with their own memory through `stateKey`

### Who uses it?

Local game stores planning preorders, resellers and collectors watching for presales, content creators covering new releases, and AI agents that need a release calendar.

### How much does it cost?

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Actor start | $0.001 |
| New set or sealed product | **$0.005** |

Runs that find nothing new cost only the start fee. Set `maxItems` or a **maximum cost per run** to cap spend.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**, pick the games and a lookback window.
2. Click **Start** and download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them with the API.
3. For release alerts, keep **Only new** on and add a daily **Schedule**. Connect Slack, email, Zapier, Make or a webhook through Apify integrations.

### FAQ

**Do I need an API key?** No.

**How does "only new" work?** Each run stores the IDs it returned in a named key-value store on your account and skips them next time. Use a different `stateKey` for each monitor.

**Why is a market price missing?** Brand new presale products sometimes have no sales yet. The price fills in once the catalog has one.
