## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Zhaopin Jobs Scraper / 智联招聘 — China Jobs & Salary API

Scrape **public** Zhaopin (智联招聘) job listings across major Chinese cities and return structured rows with **normalized monthly CNY salary ranges**, company metadata, skills, education, and experience. Built for recruiters, China labor-market researchers, and AI agents that need a cookieless Jobs API — not a browser login workflow.

### Why this Actor

- **Public search API first** — reads Zhaopin's `fe-api.zhaopin.com` search endpoints (POST `/c/i/search/positions`, GET `/c/i/sou` fallback). No Zhaopin account.
- **Salary API shape** — keeps `salaryRaw` and emits `salaryMin` / `salaryMax` in monthly CNY when Zhaopin publishes a range (e.g. `1-1.3万` → 10000–13000).
- **MCP-ready** — clear inputs, one job per dataset row, stable `OUTPUT` / `RUN_SUMMARY` outcomes.
- **Honest failures** — verification blocks and upstream outages finish as `UPSTREAM_FAILED`; true zero-match searches finish as `VALID_EMPTY`.

### What you get

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `title`, `jobUrl`, `jobId` | Public listing identity |
| `salaryRaw`, `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `currency` | Original text + monthly CNY bounds |
| `city`, `cityEn`, `district`, `address` | Location |
| `education`, `experience`, `employmentType`, `skills` | Requirements |
| `companyName`, `companySize`, `companyType`, `companyIndustry` | Employer |
| `recruiterName`, `recruiterTitle` | Public recruiter card when present |
| `scrapedAt`, `source` | Provenance |

### Best fit

- China hiring / salary benchmarking by city and keyword
- Recruiting pipelines that need structured CNY salary bands
- Agents calling `apify--zhaopin-jobs-scraper` for public listings

**Not for:** private applicant data, login-walled recruiter CRM exports, or guaranteed full-catalog coverage (Zhaopin may paginate/limit public results).

### Input example

```json
{
  "query": "Python",
  "city": "530",
  "maxItems": 10
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "jobId": "40803578106",
  "title": "python开发",
  "city": "北京",
  "salaryRaw": "1-1.3万",
  "salaryMin": 10000,
  "salaryMax": 13000,
  "currency": "CNY",
  "companyName": "示例科技有限公司",
  "jobUrl": "https://jobs.zhaopin.com/CC637366030J40803578106.htm",
  "source": "zhaopin.com",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-09-21T10:44:17.397Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event + platform usage pass-through:

| Event | Price |
|-------|-------|
| `apify-actor-start` | $0.00005 |
| `job-scraped` | $0.003 per validated job |

Users also pay Apify compute/proxy usage. Invalid inputs and empty honest outcomes are not charged the job event.

### How it works

1. Resolve keyword×city targets (or parse `/sou` Start URLs with `jl` + `kw`).
2. Call Zhaopin public search **direct** first.
3. If the response is verification-blocked or empty, retry via Apify **Residential CN**.
4. Normalize, validate, charge `job-scraped`, then `pushData`.
5. Write `OUTPUT` + `RUN_SUMMARY` with `COMPLETE` / `PARTIAL` / `VALID_EMPTY` / `INVALID_INPUT` / `UPSTREAM_FAILED`.

### API / MCP

```bash
apify call khadinakbar/zhaopin-jobs-scraper -i '{"query":"Python","city":"530","maxItems":5}'
```

Agent prompt card: “Search Zhaopin Beijing Python jobs, return up to 5 rows with salaryMin/salaryMax in CNY.”

### Legal

Public listings only. Respect Zhaopin terms and applicable laws. This Actor is not affiliated with Zhaopin.com. Do not use results for spam, harassment, or unauthorized bulk outreach.

# Actor input Schema

## `query` (type: `string`):

Use this to search Zhaopin by role, skill, or title such as 'Python', '产品经理', or '销售'. Defaults to 'Python' for the quality sample. This is not a Start URL — paste URLs into Start URLs instead.

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Optional list of keywords. Each keyword is combined with every selected city. Leave empty to use Search keyword only.

## `city` (type: `string`):

Zhaopin city code for a single-city search. Defaults to Beijing (530). Use Batch cities for multi-city runs. Codes match Zhaopin jl/cityId values.

## `cities` (type: `array`):

Optional list of Zhaopin city codes. Each city is combined with every batch keyword. Leave empty to use the single City above.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional public Zhaopin /sou search URLs containing jl (city) and kw (keyword). When provided, they take precedence over guided keyword/city fields. Non-Zhaopin URLs are ignored.

## `education` (type: `string`):

Optional Zhaopin education code applied to the public search API. Leave empty for any education. Codes: 3 junior college, 4 bachelor, 5 master, 6 MBA/EMBA, 7 doctorate.

## `experience` (type: `string`):

Optional Zhaopin work-experience code sent to the public search API. Leave empty for any experience.

## `employmentType` (type: `string`):

Optional employment-type code for the public search API. Leave empty for any type.

## `salary` (type: `string`):

Optional salary filter. Use a Zhaopin legacy band code or a monthly CNY range like '15001,25000'. Leave empty for any salary.

## `companyType` (type: `string`):

Optional company-type filter code passed through to Zhaopin search. Leave empty for any company type.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum validated jobs written and billed in this run (1–2000). Default 20 for the quality sample; each persisted job costs $0.003 plus platform usage.

## `pageSize` (type: `integer`):

Jobs requested per Zhaopin API page (10–90). Default 60. Higher values reduce request count but may be truncated by the upstream API.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Keep the public job summary/description snippet when Zhaopin returns one. Defaults to true. Disable for a leaner salary/company-only feed.

## `responseFormat` (type: `string`):

Caps description length for agent workflows: concise ≈800 chars, detailed ≈5000. Other fields stay identical.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy used only when a direct Zhaopin API call returns a verification/empty page. Defaults to Residential CN. Direct requests run first to minimize proxy cost.
