## Pricing

Pay per event

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store Data API: products, prices, theme & apps for any Shopify store

**Shopify Store Data API** turns a list of store domains into clean, structured Shopify data. Paste `allbirds.com`, `colourpop.com` or any other storefront and get, for every store:

- ✅ **Is it Shopify?** Detection from response headers, the `Shopify` JS object, CDN assets and the public `/meta.json` endpoint, including headless (Hydrogen / custom front-end) stores
- 🏪 **Store details**: store name, permanent `.myshopify.com` domain, Shopify shop ID, currency, country, state, city, locale, ships-to countries, published product and collection counts, Shop Pay Installments
- 🛍️ **Products** from the public `/products.json` feed: variants, SKUs, prices, compare-at prices, discounts, stock status, images, tags, vendor, product type, created / updated / published dates
- 🗂️ **Collections** from `/collections.json` with product counts and (optionally) the product handles in each collection
- 📊 **Price stats**: min / max / average / median price, products on sale, discounted variants, average and max discount %, in-stock vs sold-out, top vendors and product types, newest product date
- 🎨 **Theme**: theme name, schema name (e.g. Dawn, Impulse, Prestige), version, Theme Store ID
- 🧩 **Installed apps & pixels**: 70+ fingerprints including Klaviyo, Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox, Okendo, Stamped, Recharge, Gorgias, Privy, Attentive, Postscript, Omnisend, Rebuy, Smile.io, Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm, Shop Pay Installments, PageFly, GemPages, Shogun, Hotjar, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Triple Whale and more
- 🔗 **Social links** found on the homepage (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, X)

It runs on plain HTTP requests (no browser), so it is fast and cheap, and it needs no Shopify login, API key or app install.

### What can you use Shopify store data for?

| Use case | What you get |
|---|---|
| **Competitor research** | Full catalogue, price range, discount depth, best-selling product types and how often a competitor launches new products |
| **Price monitoring** | Schedule the Actor daily and track price, compare-at price and stock changes for every variant |
| **Lead generation for Shopify agencies** | Find stores on a given theme, stores without a reviews or email app, or stores with a large catalogue and an outdated theme |
| **App developers & SaaS** | See which competing apps a store already runs (e.g. Yotpo vs Judge.me, Recharge vs Skio) before you reach out |
| **Market & product research** | Compare pricing and assortment across a niche, find vendors and product types, spot sales |
| **Dropshipping & e-commerce analysts** | Export product data, images and variants to a spreadsheet or your own database |

### How to scrape a Shopify store

1. Click **Try for free** and open the **Input** tab.
2. Add one or more store domains (one per line). Custom domains, `www.` domains, full URLs and `.myshopify.com` domains all work.
3. Choose how many products per store you want and whether to include collections, theme and apps.
4. Click **Start**. When the run finishes, open the **Output** tab and download your data as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or fetch it through the Apify API.

### Input

| Field | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `domains` | – | Store domains or URLs (required) |
| `includeProducts` | `true` | Fetch products from `/products.json` |
| `maxProductsPerStore` | `250` | Product cap per store (`0` = no products) |
| `includeCollections` | `true` | List collections on the store row |
| `maxCollectionsPerStore` | `250` | Collection cap per store |
| `includeCollectionProducts` | `false` | Add product handles to each collection (one extra request per collection) |
| `maxProductsPerCollection` | `30` | Handles per collection |
| `includeAppsAndTheme` | `true` | Detect theme and installed apps |
| `maxConcurrency` | `3` | Stores processed in parallel |
| `proxyConfiguration` | off | Optional Apify Proxy if you hit rate limits on large batches |

```json
{
    "domains": ["allbirds.com", "colourpop.com", "gymshark.com"],
    "maxProductsPerStore": 500,
    "includeCollections": true,
    "includeAppsAndTheme": true
}
```

### Output

The dataset has two kinds of rows, marked by `recordType`:

- **`store`**: one row per input domain (including non-Shopify and unreachable domains, so nothing silently disappears)
- **`product`**: one row per product

The **Output** tab has three views: **Stores**, **Products** and **Theme & apps**. In the API, add `?view=stores` or `?view=products`, or filter on `recordType`.

### How much does it cost to scrape Shopify stores?

This Actor uses **pay-per-event** pricing: you pay a small fee per Shopify store analyzed and per product row. **Non-Shopify, unreachable and invalid domains are free.** You can set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached. Check the **Pricing** tab for current prices.

### Tips

- **Big catalogues**: some stores have 10,000+ products. Start with the default 250 and raise `maxProductsPerStore` only when you need the full catalogue.
- **Rate limits (HTTP 429)**: the Actor retries automatically with exponential backoff and honors `Retry-After`. For hundreds of stores, turn on Apify Proxy.
- **Headless stores**: if a store's custom domain hides the JSON feeds, the Actor falls back to the store's `.myshopify.com` domain and marks the row with `headlessStorefront: true`. Theme info is not available for headless front ends.
- **Monitoring**: create a schedule (daily or hourly) and connect the dataset to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier or a webhook.

### FAQ

**Is scraping Shopify stores legal?** This Actor only reads public storefront pages and the public JSON endpoints Shopify serves to every visitor. It does not log in, bypass passwords or collect personal data about shoppers. You are responsible for how you use the data; check the target site's terms and the laws that apply to you.

**Why are some apps missing?** App detection reads the homepage HTML. Apps that only load on product or cart pages, or that load through a tag manager, may not show up. A detected app means its script or marker is present on the homepage.

**Why is `myshopifyDomain` empty?** Some stores block `/meta.json` and don't print `Shopify.shop` in their HTML.

**Can I get products from one collection only?** Turn on *Include product handles per collection* and set a low *Max collections per store*.

**Something broken?** Open an issue on the Issues tab with the domain and run link and it will be fixed quickly.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Store domains or URLs, one per line, e.g. allbirds.com or https://www.gymshark.com. Custom domains and .myshopify.com domains both work. Non-Shopify domains are reported as such and are not charged.

## `includeProducts` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch products from the public /products.json feed (variants, prices, compare-at prices, availability, images, tags, vendor, type, dates). Each product is one dataset row. Price stats on the store row are computed from these products.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products per store. Use 0 to skip products. Large stores can have 10,000+ products.

## `includeCollections` (type: `boolean`):

Add the store's collections (title, handle, URL, product count) to the store row.

## `maxCollectionsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many collections per store.

## `includeCollectionProducts` (type: `boolean`):

For each collection, also list the product handles in it. Costs one extra request per collection, so keep max collections low when this is on.

## `maxProductsPerCollection` (type: `integer`):

Only used when 'Include product handles per collection' is on.

## `includeAppsAndTheme` (type: `boolean`):

Read the theme (name, schema name, version, Theme Store ID) from the Shopify.theme object and fingerprint 70+ apps and pixels (Klaviyo, Judge.me, Yotpo, Recharge, Gorgias, Rebuy, Afterpay, Klarna, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, GTM and more) from the storefront HTML.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many stores to process at the same time. Pages within one store are fetched one by one to stay polite.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Most Shopify stores work without a proxy. Turn on Apify Proxy if you scrape many stores and start seeing HTTP 429 (rate limit) errors.
