## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Contact Info Extractor: Emails, Phones, Social Links

Give it a list of websites and get one clean row per site: every email and phone number published on the home page and its contact, about, team and support pages, plus LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube links and the contact page itself. Obfuscated addresses like `name [at] domain [dot] com` are decoded. Everything is deduplicated. Built for lead lists, CRM enrichment and outreach tools that start from a list of domains.

### What you get

One row per website, flat JSON. Example row:

```json
{
  "url": "https://apify.com",
  "emails": ["hello@apify.com", "james.hill@apify.com"],
  "phones": ["+17183565168"],
  "linkedin": "http://linkedin.com/company/apify/",
  "twitter": "https://twitter.com/apify",
  "facebook": "https://www.facebook.com/apifytech",
  "instagram": "",
  "youtube": "https://www.youtube.com/@apify",
  "contact_page_url": "https://apify.com/contact",
  "pages_crawled": 5,
  "status": "ok",
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-30T12:00:00.000Z"
}
```

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| url | The website you gave |
| emails | Every distinct email found, lower-cased, obfuscation decoded |
| phones | Every distinct phone found, digits only with country code where shown |
| linkedin, twitter, facebook, instagram, youtube | First profile link found for each network; share and login links are ignored |
| contact_page_url | The site's contact page, when it has one |
| pages_crawled | How many pages were read for this site |
| status | `ok`, or `error: ...` when the site could not be read; the row is still delivered so you know it was tried |
| scraped_at | When this row was collected |

### What you give

- **Websites**: one per line, with or without `https://`.
- **Max pages per site**: the home page plus up to this many contact-like pages. Default 5.
- **Max results**: stop after this many websites. Default 100.
- **Proxy**: Apify Proxy, on by default.

### What it costs

You pay per website row. At $2 per 1,000 rows, a list of 500 domains costs $1. Nothing else is charged. A site that could not be read still produces its row and is billed once, never retried against your balance.

### Legal

Reads only public pages, without logging in. Collects only contact details a business publishes about itself. No people search, no social network scraping: profile links are taken from the business's own site.

### Speed

About one website every two seconds at the default five pages per site.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "websites": [
        "https://apify.com",
        "https://www.mozilla.org"
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("kiran_4897/contact-info-extractor").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
