## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Tenders Radar (TED)

Search the official EU TED database (Tenders Electronic Daily) in two ways:

- **Open tenders** – contract notices you can still bid on. Filter by buyer country, CPV code, keyword, value range and recency; skip tenders whose deadline has passed. Each record includes the buyer and city, a description, the deadline, estimated value and the link to the tender documents / e-submission platform.
- **Contract awards** – who won which public contract, at what price. Each record includes the winning companies (name, country, city, size class), the awarded value and the contract conclusion date. Useful for competitor and market research, pricing your bids, and finding buyers who regularly purchase what you sell.

**Use cases:** daily tender alerts (schedule the actor and connect a webhook, Slack or email integration), B2B lead generation for agencies, IT and consultancies, bid/no-bid research, feeding AI agents.

**Pricing:** pay per result (event `tender-result`). You set `maxResults`, so the cost per run is capped.

**Example inputs**

- Open IT tenders in Germany and Austria, 50k–2M EUR: `{"mode":"open","countries":["DEU","AUT"],"cpvPrefixes":["72","48"],"daysBack":7,"minValueEur":50000,"maxValueEur":2000000}`
- Software contracts awarded in Germany in the last 30 days: `{"mode":"awards","countries":["DEU"],"cpvPrefixes":["72","48"],"daysBack":30}`

**Output fields:** publicationNumber, title, titleDe, noticeType, publicationDate, buyer, buyerCountry, buyerCity, procedureType, contractNature, description (max. 1,500 characters), placeOfPerformance, cpvCodes, deadline (earliest lot), estimatedValueTotal, currency, submissionUrl, winners\[] {name, country, city, size}, awardedValueTotal, awardedCurrency, contractConclusionDate, lots, url.

Values are summed over lots as published; notices without a value have `null`. The value filter compares EUR values only (awarded value for award notices, otherwise the estimate). Winner data is limited to organisation-level fields; contact persons, e-mail addresses and phone numbers are not returned.

**Advanced:** `noticeTypes` takes exact TED eForms notice types (e.g. `can-modif` for contract modifications, `veat` for voluntary ex-ante transparency notices) and overrides the mode.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Open tenders = contract notices and calls for competition. Contract awards = award notices with winning company, its country/city/size and the awarded value. Ignored when 'Notice types' is set.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Three-letter codes, e.g. DEU, AUT, FRA. Empty = all EU.

## `cpvPrefixes` (type: `array`):

e.g. 72 (IT services), 48 (software), 45 (construction), 79 (business services), 33 (medical). Empty = all.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Full-text search, matches any keyword.

## `daysBack` (type: `integer`):

Only notices published within this many days.

## `minValueEur` (type: `integer`):

0 = no filter. Uses the awarded value for award notices, otherwise the estimated value. Notices without a EUR value are dropped when set.

## `maxValueEur` (type: `integer`):

0 = no limit. Same value rules as the minimum. Useful to find tenders small enough for SMEs.

## `onlyOpenDeadline` (type: `boolean`):

Open tenders only: skip tenders whose deadline has already passed.

## `noticeTypes` (type: `array`):

Advanced: exact TED eForms notice types, e.g. cn-standard, can-standard, can-modif, veat. Overrides 'What to search'. Empty = use 'What to search'.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of tenders to return (you pay per result).
