## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France New Companies – Fresh B2B Leads from BODACC

Get **companies that were just registered in France** – SAS, SARL, SA and more – from the official **BODACC** register of company announcements, published **every day**. Each company comes with its SIREN number, legal form in English, share capital, declared activity, head-office address and – when available – its official **industry code (NAF) with the English NACE name** and **employee band**.

No French language skills, no API key, no scraping.

### What you get

- **~500 new French companies per day**, newest first (legal entities only)
- **Filters**: département (e.g. 75 Paris, 69 Rhône, 13 Bouches-du-Rhône), region, activity keywords in English or French (common English words such as *software*, *consulting*, *restaurant* are expanded to their French equivalents), publication date
- **Industry in English**: NAF code mapped to the EU NACE Rev. 2 class name (e.g. 62.01Z → *Computer programming activities*)
- **Legal form in English** (SAS → simplified joint-stock company, SARL → limited liability company…)
- **Share capital (EUR)**, registration date and activity start date
- Property-holding companies (SCI), about a third of all new registrations, are **excluded by default**
- Link to the official BODACC announcement on every row

### Typical uses

- **Sell to new French businesses**: banking, accounting, insurance, payroll, web and marketing services, office equipment
- **Local prospecting**: new software companies in Paris this week, new restaurants in Lyon
- **Market monitoring**: new companies by industry and region
- **AI agents**: call it as a tool through the Apify MCP server ("new consulting firms in Île-de-France this month")

### Pricing

**$0.004 per company returned** ($4 per 1,000). No start fee. You only pay for results you receive; set `maxResults` to cap your spend.

### Data notes

- **Legal entities only.** Announcements for sole traders (individual persons) are skipped, and the names of directors or managers are **never returned**.
- **Industry code timing**: very new companies sometimes do not have their NAF code in the Sirene index yet (about a third on the day of publication). For those, `nafCode`/`industry` are empty but the declared activity (`activityFr`) is always present.
- **Address**: the registered head office as published in the announcement.
- **Dates**: `publishedOn` is the BODACC publication date; `registeredOn` is the trade-register date when stated.
- Typical run time: about 20–60 seconds for 100 companies (industry lookup included).

### Data sources & license

- **BODACC – Bulletin officiel des annonces civiles et commerciales** (DILA), creation announcements, via the official open-data API. Licence Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0.
- **API Recherche d'entreprises** (French government, api.gouv.fr) – NAF code and employee band from the INSEE Sirene register. Licence Ouverte 2.0.
- **NACE Rev. 2** English class names: Eurostat classification (reuse with acknowledgement).
- Every row includes `source`, `publishedOn` and `checkedAt`.

### Disclaimer

This Actor is an independent product. It is **not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by** DILA, INSEE or the French government. Data is provided as published by the sources, without warranty; English labels are generated automatically and may contain errors. No personal contact data (phone numbers, emails) is returned.

### FAQ

**Why are some industries empty?** The company is so new that the national Sirene index has not assigned or published its NAF code yet. Run again a few days later or use `activityFr`.

**Can I include property companies (SCI)?** Yes – set `excludeRealEstateCompanies` to `false`.

**How far back can I go?** Up to 365 days of announcements.
