## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Nordic New Companies – Norway & Finland B2B Leads

Get **companies that were just registered in Norway and Finland** straight from the official business registers – the **Brønnøysund Register Centre (Brreg)** and the **Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH)**. Every row has the company ID, legal form, registration date, **industry name in English (NACE)**, business address and, where available, share capital, employees and website.

No Norwegian or Finnish, no API key, no scraping.

### What you get

- **New companies, newest first** – thousands every month (e.g. ~2,900 new Norwegian AS limited companies in September 2026)
- **Industry filter in plain English**: `software`, `restaurant`, `construction`, `consulting`… matched against official NACE industry names, or give NACE code prefixes such as `62` or `56.10`
- **City filter**: Oslo, Bergen, Helsinki, Tampere… or a postal code
- **Company types**: limited companies by default (AS/ASA, Oy/Oyj); partnerships, cooperatives, foreign branches, foundations or associations on request
- **Norway extras**: share capital, registered employees, website, VAT registration
- Link to the official register page on every row

### Typical uses

- **Sell to new Nordic businesses**: banking, accounting, payroll, insurance, SaaS, office and IT services
- **Local prospecting**: new IT companies in Oslo this month, new restaurants in Helsinki
- **Market monitoring**: new companies per industry and city
- **AI agents**: call it as a tool through the Apify MCP server ("new software companies in Norway this week")

### Pricing

**$0.004 per company returned** ($4 per 1,000). No start fee. You only pay for results you receive; set `maxResults` to cap your spend.

### Data notes

- **Companies only**: sole proprietorships (Norwegian ENK, Finnish private traders) are never returned, and no personal names are included. Postal addresses with c/o names and apartment numbers are left out; the business address is returned.
- **Industry**: Norway uses SN2025 (NACE Rev. 2.1) and Finland TOL 2008 (NACE Rev. 2); English names come from the official classifications. Very new companies may not have an industry code yet.
- **Dates**: `registeredOn` is the date the company entered the register.
- Typical run time: a few seconds to a minute.

### Data sources & license

- **Norway**: Brønnøysund Register Centre – Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret) open API. Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD 2.0).
- **Finland**: Finnish Patent and Registration Office – YTJ open data API. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
- NACE English class names: Eurostat classifications (reuse with acknowledgement).
- Every row includes `source` and `checkedAt`.

### FAQ

**Can I get only one country?** Yes – set `countries` to `["NO"]` or `["FI"]`.

**Why is `industry` empty for some companies?** Newly registered companies sometimes have not reported an industry code yet (common for holding companies).
