## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## 🧸 Child-Safe Text Guard — find contact details and grooming signals before a post goes public

Running a community, game chat, school app or fan platform where young people post? A single line — a phone number, a school name, "my parents aren't home", "let's meet, don't tell your mom" — can put a child in danger.

**Child-Safe Text Guard reads each post or comment and tells you whether to publish it.** Japanese 🇯🇵 and English 🇬🇧🇺🇸.

### Verdicts

| Verdict | Meaning | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| 🚫 `block` | Clear contact details or an address | phone numbers (Japanese, US, international, full-width digits, numbers written in kanji such as 〇九〇…), emails (including "name at example dot com"), street addresses, postal codes, LINE / Kakao / Discord / Telegram / Snapchat / WhatsApp IDs, Instagram / TikTok / X / Threads accounts |
| ⚠️ `ask` | May reveal where or when a child can be found, or an adult's approach | school or class names, nearby station, route home, "home alone" / "walking home alone", meeting requests, gift cards and money, "keep it secret", photo requests, age questions, "DM me", "let's swap LINE", bare @handles, phone numbers spelled out in kana, long digit runs (dates are skipped) |
| ✅ `pass` | Nothing found | |

`ask` is designed for a gentle "Are you sure?" prompt — it does not shame the writer.

### Input

```json
{ "texts": ["New dance video is up!", "call me at (212) 555-0199", "今度会おうよ、親には内緒ね"] }
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "index": 2,
  "verdict": "ask",
  "reasons": ["meet", "secret"],
  "hits": [
    {"reason": "meet", "verdict": "ask", "why": "suggestion to meet", "match": "会おう", "start": 2, "end": 5},
    {"reason": "secret", "verdict": "ask", "why": "asking to keep a secret", "match": "親には内緒", "start": 7, "end": 12}
  ]
}
```

### Privacy

- Texts are only checked inside your run. Nothing is stored elsewhere or sent to any other service.
- The text itself is **not** repeated in the results unless you turn on `echoText`.

### Pricing

Pay per checked text (see the Pricing tab). Apart from Apify's standard start fee, there is no per-run charge.

### Notes

Rule-based and fast. It is a safety net for moderators, not a replacement for human review and reporting to the authorities when a child is at risk.

# Actor input Schema

## `texts` (type: `array`):

The texts to check, one per item (Japanese and English).

## `includeMatches` (type: `boolean`):

Return each matched part with its position, so you can highlight it for the writer.

## `echoText` (type: `boolean`):

Off by default so personal details are not copied into your results more than needed.

## Actor input object example
