## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Hotels Scraper: Prices, Deals & Ratings

Get **hotel prices from Google Hotels** for any city, neighbourhood or landmark and your exact dates. Each hotel comes with price per night, **total price with taxes and fees**, Google's **"great deal" flag and % below the usual price**, star class, guest rating, number of reviews, amenities and photos. Google shows about 20 hotels per search; this Actor runs extra searches automatically and returns **up to 150+ hotels per city** without duplicates. Fast HTTP requests, no browser.

### What you get

| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | Lowest price per night and total for your stay, with taxes and fees |
| Deals | `GREAT DEAL` flag and how much cheaper than usual (%) |
| Quality | Star class, hotel type, guest rating (1-5), number of reviews |
| Amenities | Free Wi-Fi, breakfast, pool, parking, pet-friendly... |
| Photos | Up to 5 photo URLs |
| Link | Google Hotels page of the hotel |

### Use cases

- **Price monitoring** for hotels, revenue managers and travel agencies: run daily for your city and dates.
- **Travel deal finders and newsletters**: filter by `percentBelowUsual`.
- **Market research**: compare prices, ratings and amenities across a whole city.
- **Travel apps and AI trip planners**: live hotel data for an itinerary via the Apify MCP server.

### Pricing

**$0.003 per hotel** ($3 per 1,000 hotels), no start fee. Searches that return nothing are free.

### Tips

- Prices depend on dates: always set check-in and check-out for real prices. Every result is checked against your number of nights, so you never get prices for the wrong stay.
- `totalPrice` includes taxes and fees for the whole stay; `pricePerNight` is the headline nightly price Google shows.
- For a full city, set **Max hotels** to 100-150. For a quick price check of the top results, keep 20.

### FAQ

**Which currency are prices in?** US dollars, as shown on Google Hotels in the US. The `currency` field always states the currency of each price.

**Which booking sites are the prices from?** Google Hotels shows the lowest price among its partners (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, the hotel's own site and others).

**Something broke or you need a feature?** Open an issue on the Actor page.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Cities, neighbourhoods, landmarks or addresses, one per line.

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Empty = 14 days from today.

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Empty = 2 nights after check-in.

## `adults` (type: `integer`):

Number of adult guests.

## `maxHotelsPerLocation` (type: `integer`):

Google shows about 20 hotels per search. Above 20, the Actor runs extra searches (cheap, 4-star, luxury, boutique...) and removes duplicates, which usually reaches 100-150 hotels for a big city.

## `minRating` (type: `number`):

Skip hotels rated below this (0 = keep all).

## `skipSponsored` (type: `boolean`):

Leave out paid placements.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of hotel types and amenities. English gives the most complete data.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Parallel searches.

## `maxRetries` (type: `integer`):

Attempts per search, each on a new proxy IP.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is used by default; the Actor switches to residential IPs automatically if Google starts blocking.

  "maxRetries": 4,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```
# Actor output Schema
